Barnes' salary much more deserved in providing hope for something positive in Knoxville sports. His success couldn't have come at a more needed time. Thanks paPaw.
Football blah blah blah. This season and every other season are nothing compared to bball year in and year out. We took a great stride in the right direction last year in terms of supporting the basketball team, and I hope to see that continue in the relative down season that we're about to have.
67-70 in the last 11 years. I am 40 years old. Without looking it up, I'd about guarantee we haven't accumulated anywhere close to 70 losses in the 28 years prior during my lifetime. It's like watching an all-time great player languish away way past his prime trying to hold on to his former glory.2008: 5-7
2009: 7-6
2010: 6-7
2011: 5-7
2012: 5-7
2013: 5-7
2014: 7-6
2015: 9-4
2016: 9-4
2017: 4-8
2018: 5-7
2019: how low can we go?
6, 7, or 8 losses in 10 of the last 12 years. But the UTAD is fat and happy selling 65,000 season tickets. Most of those after extorting fans for donations. Dozens of administrators and coaches making 6 and 7 figure salaries.

Down season? compared to what? Who are we? Even a 20 win season with a trip to the dance following a missed shot at an E8 isn't down for what we've been thru. i'm callin it. this will be one of the most exciting seasons of Barnes ball yet. those selling our front court short are going to be pleasantly surprised. More length will translate to a Barnes type rebounding game which has been hurting us lately. Only thing I'm crossing my fingers on is the Turner health factor. he and Bowden will be in beast mode. I came up with 90, as well. Parts of the early 80s were rough. Still that is 28 seasons and 90 losses, to 11 seasons and 70 losses. From 89-99 (11 seasons) we had 23 losses. Just unreal.I came up with 90, but just added once in my head.

Agree n tottoReally needing Plavsic to be cleared and Kent to take an epic step. Or ORN needs a freshman year comparable to Grant's. It won't surprise me if Fulk is a big contributor. It will surprise if Pons is.
Agree n totto
Few short clips I've seen of ORn, the guy has really matured in body. Looks like a man. I think he pulls one off.
yeah. know what u mean. I never realized how good Cranston was in Breaking Bad until I started watching it after the first 10 minutes of the game. Walt White is the kind of guy you'd like to kick dents in his head. 38 more days? Like waiting for your first kid.I have started watching hockey, if that’s indication on how that football stuff is going lol go preds!
Team A could be winning by a field goal and then get a pick six (or fumble return for a TD) and then go for two to really rub it in. That’s all I can think ofHere's an off the wall observation. In an NCAA football overtime game, a team can win by 1 through 14 points EXCEPT I can't think of any scenario with an 11 point victory in OT.
4 would be pretty hard to achieve, but possible.
Team A can have a 3, 6, 7, or 8 point lead and get a pick 6 (9, 12, 13, 14) or get a safety (5, 8, 9, 10) or take a safety after a takeaway (unlikely) to win by 1, 4, 5, or 6. 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8 are pretty common victory margins in OT.
But I don't see any way to win by 11 in overtime.
