Honestly, I don’t see who White could hire that would make the majority of the fan base happy.

I know we all want an elite coach but there’s very few of those right now.
You'd have to bring a Donavan or Stevens out of the pros. Up and cumers would be crucified first year in.

I bet if we gave Porter Moser $5M/year he’d produce better tournament results

And I thought this day couldn’t get any worse. The pizza man shows up and tells me HE FORGOT MY PIZZA. How does that happen? I’m kinda impressed to be honest.

Chris Holtmann is a name many have thrown around about being a great coach...lost as a 2 today to a 15, in 4 season at Ohio State he’s never made it out of the first weekend...would we still want him?
I would say yes, but those are interesting stats on his lack of NCAAT success. He isn't leaving tOSU to come to Tennessee, anyhow, but I would certainly take him as Barnes' replacement.

I've always felt one of RB past or present assistants would take over when he goes

I think that likely depends on the manner in which Barnes leaves. If he picks things back up and leaves on his own terms, I can see Tennessee doing the promote from within deal, or perhaps Barnes having a hand in a former assistant who has moved on getting the job.

If he is pushed out, we probably go outside the Barnes tree.

Wonder how Matt Painter would be received? Doubt he leaves Purdue unless it’s for IU, but that’s the best realistic name I can come up with.

I wanted him. Thought he would be good. Still think he would be good. The tourney is a funny thing. It shouldn’t be surprising an inconsistent team like ours gets bounced early. Barnes tho has a dubious track record. You’d think the odds would favor him at some point but so far they haven’t.

I’ve been high on Dan Hurley for a while. Like back at Wagner while. People all loved his brother but I think he was clearly the better coach. He’s a steady and consistent builder. Continues to push new heights. We’ll see what he can do in the next couple years

Well guys it’s been a weird season but still enjoyable even though we fell short of expectations and laid an egg in the tourney. Hopefully the roster will be rebuilt and next year can be a good one. Minus the football forum drive bus I’ve enjoyed the discussion s
