The Official “Regular Posters of the Basketball Forum” Thread

They aren’t chronic. You are a chronic Barnes bashing troll.
And this is where I have to say again, your issue is im anti Barnes. Volgee's post which started all of this from you was a shot at myself and my posts. I have a right to defend my post and explain why I brought Shaka up. Again if im so bad and it upsets you so much use that beautiful little ignore feature, if you CHOOSE not to use it then you have no right to tell anyone when or what to post. And you are jumping into the middle of arguments which dont concern you anyways. Or go create your own site, then you would be more than welcome to tell other posters, when to post, what to post and how to post.

I don’t think that you have a clue what a right is. I have a right to say STFU.

Oh boy an internet tough guy.
Its actually hilarious how triggered you are over my posts about TN basketball coach, in a TN basketball forum, on a TN fan website.

You seem far more triggered based on the length of your replies. You also have a chronic obsession to bash the current TN coach that just signed the best PG in the country when TN desperately needed a PG. Possibly the best back-to-back recruiting classes ever.

“Internet tough guy”. Man, that’s original.

OK, so one recruiting class is supposed to change my thoughts on the 30 year career of the coach? He also had a top 5 player every on one of his rosters, how did that turn out? If Barnes produces results next year, ill give him credit. And if my replies are longer, its because they are more thought out. Its really easy to post cry and whine 15 times like you have.

You’ve cornered the market on whine. Your chronic Barnes Bashing posts must number in the hundreds.

Show us on the doll where Barnes touched you.

BTW, back-to-back ain’t one recruiting class Mr Thought Out Reply Guy.

And what were the results of that first one?
And again, ill continue to judge the guy over the course of his carrer, not because he got a few recruits. And you didnt answer my question, What happened when he had a top 5 player of all time on his roster? I'll even cheat for you and give you his name, Kevin Durant.

Kevin Durant was at Texas for one year. As a teenager. I guess you didn’t notice that Kansas had a decent team in the Big 12 in 2007. But since you asked, #11 in the final AP poll and an OT loss in the conference tournament final to the team that finished the year at #2 in the final poll.

And what did he do in the tournament that matters. And you point out one year, but umm how long is Chandler going to be there?

Gotta be honest though, for me our first round loss becomes less and less embarrassing with every Oregon state win
I'm more embarrassed at how we performed rather than anything Oregon State did. We didn't come ready to play, regardless of anything OSU did. All credit to them for being ready, but we didn't put up much of a fight, and that's the embarrassing part.

We need some upperclassmen leadership. But the unstable posters want to run off every player that isn’t All-SEC Team ready out of the gate. Admiral was an immature freshman that became a generational VFL.

I think most people's issue with you revolves around the idea that you aren't open to your mind to be changed. 30 future years of great coaching from Barnes starting today wouldn't likely do it. You'd still probably say, "Well, he's doing well now, but where was that in the first 30 years?"

Your mind is made up on him and there is little to no chance of winning you back as far as Barnes is concerned. That is certainly how the tone of your posts resonates with the people you are at odds with, IMO.

Not at all. Win the tourney in Nashville or at least match Bruce with an EE and I'll calm down about him

And how many at at TN. Now, don't go all coulda shoulda woulda on me, he either has or hasnt

Been in 3 of 5 NCAATs at TN. That’s more than TN’s historical rate of participating. But let’s run him off... he only won 67% of games this past year (which is considerably highly than TN’s historical 61%).

His garbage system included one of the highest rated defenses in the country.
What about that offense?
I've spent days here reading about why did this team or that team get hot after that beat TN?
I've honestly tried to explain, those coaches recruit shooters they get hot and go on a run. Volgee's post about VCU shooting 50% from three and that just proves my point. Barnes doesn't recruit shooters and his offense doesn't spread the floor very well for three's.

So you're going to brag about 5* then say he needs more than that LOL ok.

TN needs experienced players that will be the leaders in the mix. There were 2 players with more than a year of experience in the system this year. One had his face broken after COVID, mid-season dental surgery, and other injuries and missed the bulk of the post season. COVID also eliminated the off season work that the 2 one-and-done players needed. One of the one-and-dones had a lower leg injury disrupt his year as he was elevating his game. Next year TN will have experienced leadership to go with the best PG to ever walk on campus. But let’s run off Barnes because he didn’t keep Fulk from catching elbows with his head and Springer from effing up his ankle.
