Good question. I looked up the "rule," and APA says both should be capitalized. More importantly, kudos to you for using the word "capitalized" instead of "uppercase." Makes me cringe really hard when someone says "uppercase."
Are you a journalist or English major

That one is an illogical pet peeve of mine because, at one point in time, I thought it wasn't a real word. It is indeed a real word, so that's really my problem instead of anyone else's.

My most recent grammatical pet peeve is “would of”. But that’s commonly accepted lingo in these here parts where I’ve spent my whole life and I’ve just recently been enlightened.

I doubt that I’ll ever understand “who” versus “whom”, but that’s just a burden I’ll have to go through life dealing with. And sentence structures. Ending sentences with a preposition and what not.

To whom it may concern, I would of got these all wrong irregardless of my ability to write correctly depending on who I was talking to about uppercase words versus capitalized ones. [Sorry.]

The bane of my existence is the word "unnecessary". For the life of me I can't spell that word correct the first time.

As an English major, all of these have bugged me for years. The one that gets me the most, perhaps, is “wonder” vs “wander.” It seems so easy to me, but people mess it up all the time lol
