Yeah, you’d definitely prefer LSU if you want to go far I’d say. Obv Ms state already has beat us once. Counterpoint might be if you think a 2 seed is a forgone conclusion (assuming UNC and Arizona wins today), maybe you don’t mind getting knocked out early and getting rest. Also it could be neat to have beaten every single SEC team this year, right now we’re only missing MS state

When we fall into the DK only mode on offense we are very beatable. It's great to be a team player and a great ambassador for the program like JJJ and Vescovi are but at some point it takes more than the intangibles to beat the best teams with the big time talent.

Yeah. Santi and Jahmai both passed up wide wide open shots in the first half. Also, Knecht was obv great, but he does have a tendency to be too deferential early in games when it’s close, and too assertive late if we’re down. But those things have been happening all year, not like it showed up today

Maybe that's why the Kentucky fans are all on Tennessee's social media trying to rub in the 4 point regular season win right now... been awhile since they won a SEC title.

I’d worry about falling below UNC/Duke on the seed line if we had a bad loss. Although going to Memphis makes more sense than Charlotte imo.

Yup. And we clearly had dead legs from the last 2 weeks. Call me a sunshine pumper, whatever, I’m happy with this season and not the least bit concerned with this loss.

Double bye and plenty of rest. I think losing on Senior Night could (hopefully) be the reminder that we gotta bring it for a full 40 every night. Cause at this point it's win or go home time. DK has never played in the big dance, he sure as hell isn't planning to get bounced after a game or two.

For me it's that we so rarely sweep them that I cherish any chance to. And while winning at Rupp is sweeter it still kinda sucks a bit that we've only swept them 1 time in the 4 years Barnes won there (2017-18) and even that year we lost in the SECT Final to UK. 3 of the last 4 home games to UK we've lost now.

It's not as bad for us on the basketball end but it does kind of feel like we are with them in football; no matter how good we are they still seem to beat us though at least in basketball we get 2 chances.

I think it’s the opposite . Barnes still has a winning record over Cal. They are a blue blood and we still give them fits. It should be easy for them to dominate us getting all 5 star recruits. Barnes has a blue collar team and we still win > 50%.

2 decades of watching Vols basketball...

Kentucky needing a bench guy to shoot 70% from deep and score 27 to win by 4 in TBA in a must win and Kentucky needing a bench player to score 35 on 6 of 8 from deep and still losing by 11 in Rupp in the same year sure makes me feel a hell of a lot better about how good our team is this year than in many of the past seasons.

I definitely get that. In bball tho, I just don’t care about losses as much unless it’s to end the season. Maybe we get a shot at sitting on little brothers face and farting in one of the next tourneys.

He does, they are and we do, not “easy” but we are blessed with superior coaching and culture and he absolutely does.

Feels like we’re saying the same thing.

Because of these things what they do should not be in our minds like it is was my point.

It's more for me it's UK. As I've said, I'm old school so every season I want to sweep UK and Vanderbilt, and after that I want to beat Auburn right now just because of the obvious. It if had been any other SEC team than those 3 today in this scenario I would care much much less.

Also the pregame fluffing of the Cats by the CBS crew really made me want to destroy them.
