In a follow up Meyer said that is if Prohm is hired, but seemed like many didn’t think he would leave ISU for their Bama so who knows.
I know he is a Bama alum. I would think that would be the major draw. Outside of that, he's got a pretty good gig at ISU. I'd think he'd have to get a significant pay raise to come to Bama, and they just paid Avery Johnson $9 million to walk away. Prohm makes $2 million annually at ISU. My guess is it would take something like $18.5 over 5 years to bring him down to Tuscaloosa.

Jussie Smollett—Thoughts?

I, for one, am not pleased with the outcome. Scary times.
I’ve gotten alerts on my phone all day about that case. Not gonna lie, I don’t know much at all about it, but from what I’ve heard the case didn’t go as it should have.

SEC possibly rival ACC pretty soon?

Vandy looking like they’ll target Johnny Dawkins, Arkansas likely getting Kelvin Sampson...2 upgrades for sure and then you’ve got Alabama and A&M who have money to throw around and should be able to land someone.

Steve Prohm just got a lot more expensive for Bama if that's the route they pursue.

Sampson is a good coach, but comes with obvious baggage.

I’m surprised at this one as I thought he was part of the Nolan Richardson bball family
He is a Richardson disciple. However, only 3 NCAAT appearances in 8 seasons, and never advance past the 2nd rd. Not acceptable by Arkansas standards. After his 1st 4 years he spent reviving the program, he has been quietly mediocre over his final 4 years. 83-54 (.605) overall, 39-33 (.541) in the SEC.

By contrast, Rick Barnes in his first 4 years, 2 of which were exhausted stabilizing and rebuilding the program, is 88-49 (.642) overall, 42-30 (.583) in the SEC.

Strange that Anderson’s very average results flew under the radar as long as they did. Kind of surprising he wasn’t fired after his 5th year after following up his only NCAAT appearance, to date in year 4, with a .500 season in his his 5th.
