Agree on the Pettiford floater. I think the refs are getting this Eurostep thing confused. The Eurostep is now allowed on a continuous drive but not as you said when he established a pivot foot and then stepped through. That’s a walk.I'll add two other plays under 3 minutes that were awful calls/no calls.
1.) Pettiford's little floater he made with 1:45 to play to cut the Tennessee lead to 51-49. He drove left, picked up his dribble, thus establishing a pivot foot. Okpara bit on his fake, and Pettiford stepped thru. That's a walk. In front of the Auburn bench, though, that crew won't call it.
2.) Gainey's 5th foul was ridiculous, but because Broome flails to the ground as they're both going for a rebound, he gets the call.
The entire officiating sequence under 3 minutes was a total home job.
Down two spots in the AP, now #8. Kinda unjustified after blowing out #14 and losing by 2 @ #1, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Two big opportunities this week at home against #12 and #5
That is the same stretch of teams we are playing now, except that our Bama game is at the end of the season.

Also, two top-5 teams, Auburn and Florida, were scheduled an open date before they play us, so a whole week to prepare. I don't see opponents with open dates anywhere in the Alabama gauntlet being touted.
I couldn't believe the floater... I even stopped the game and went back to confirm I didn't somehow see it the wrong way. And the foul on Gainey was definitely weak sauce... I was shocked he played 10 plus minutes with 4 foulsI'll add two other plays under 3 minutes that were awful calls/no calls.

Nah man obviously everything is fine.I’m usually on the very positive end of the spectrum about basketball, but I’m vastly lowering my expectations for this team. They’re just flat out bad on offense and settle for bad shots far too often. They also seem completely uninterested in defending half the time. This is basically what everyone who whined about the 2022 team’s offense asked for: a little better offense for inconsistent defense. Disappointing, but it is what it is. Hopefully they can figure something out by March, but they’ve been regressing since December. Not hopeful.

I just think Chaz has a very limited offensive set. He has the three ball and that’s pretty much it. He has zero explosiveness and rarely drives to the basket. He thinks he is a Steph Curry. So much of the poor shot selection is a byproduct of passing open good looks. Gainey dribbling the ball off his foot moments ago is a prime example.
This team won’t be anything other than middle of the pack in the SEC unless Lanier figures out how to overcome his lack of quickness and get open and be efficient and productive offensively. That’s a requirement for this team to finish somewhere near the top of the league.
