The Official #1 Tennessee @ Kentucky Thur-Sat Game Thread (Thur. 7PM EST SEC NETWORK) (Fri. 6:30PM EST SEC NETWORK+) (Sat. 2PM EST SEC NETWORK +)

Most bases stolen on the Vols are actually stolen on our pitchers. For whatever reason we don’t even bother with runners on base. Pitchers are incredibly predictable.
I not so sure. Not only is the throws maybe a tad late, they are seldom @round the bag, plus we have a few pass balls. I noticed we have 3or 4 catches committed. I do realize that great catchers don’t come around very often and we have a converted 3rd baseman behind the plate, but just don’t catch very many runners trying to steal second.

Arkansas just lost so our magic number is now three. We could sweep Ga. at home the title is ours or if Arkansas loses tomorrow it will be only two going into next weekend.

A mad Vols team playing at home in front of a packed LNS for a title…. the baseball gods couldn’t have drawn it up any better ! 😍😍😍😍

In newbie terms: TN only needs to win one of its remaining series and not get swept in the other and we’re champions. That’s if Arkansas goes 8-0. They won’t. One more loss by the hogs and Vols will be SEC champs even if lose both series (as long as they’re not sweeps). Get the champagne ready. We’re close!!
Basketball and baseball champs. Will look good on us.

Our house is like a library! Mystery to sci-fi to horror to classic lit to kids books...
We have it all and am really glad that my wife and kids love to read. I did at a young age but somewhere along the way, I lost interest.
One day I’ll crack open some of the classics and start again.
😉
GBO!!

It think it’s wonderful that your family loves to read and that your house is filled with books. That’s a fantastic avenue for learning, imagination, and entertainment. I hope you do get to the revisit the classics again someday. 🙂 From my experience, I didn’t gain a greater appreciation for them until I was much older. It’s one thing to be assigned classics in school. It’s another to read again over time without it being a reading requirement.

Did you start following them when CDS sent guys there?

Yep, but after that they were the only ABL team with a stream and it was almost always the last game of the night in summer ball. A bunch of the leagues on the east coast start at roughly the same time so every day is a mad scramble to figure out what UT players are playing on a given night.

Makes sense. IIRC, some team plays a midnight game there once a season.

I remember that Mat Su was where Kyle Serrano broke either an ankle or leg riding an ATV.

I believe Kyle and Senzel were there the same summer. Neither did that well and Senzel didn’t last long there that summer. The only thing really memorable was that CDS went out there to check on them. By then I think the Bucs had a stream too, but we didn’t have any players there. My first summer following, Simcox, Stewart (Matsu) and Moberg (Pilots) were out there at the same time. The radio announcers for The Glacier Pilots were great!
