My BVS says we get swept. But, my brain says we were likely to lose one anyway, and my gut says we win the next 2 in a dominant fashion. I’ve had to settle on we go 1-2 with a +10 run differential.

I think that’s right! Gotta keep in mind, their coach is fighting for his job and his players are too. We will have to take it, maybe those guys will be happy with tonight’s result and get out on the town! I doubt it though.

People just want to put the blame on someone I suppose. Hell we had someone blaming Vitello and calling him stupid for allowing our pitcher to hold a runner close at first in the 9th inning. Game was tied with 2 outs. You want the game winning run to steal 2nd and get into scoring position? I don’t understand it.

I don’t think anyone singled out Booker…66 just asked how he did since he was the only change to the lineup.

You’re welcome! I think Ben made a great observation in his Around the Horn segment with Brent Hubbs. Our lineup didn’t make adjustments at the plate and kept trying to hit home runs. Ben said said the Kentucky SID commented that KPP didn’t play that way, especially at night. I think that’s a good lesson for our lineup to learn, particularly if we make it back to Omaha. Our lineup has to learn to make the mental adjustments at the plate to put the ball in play. It’ll be interesting to see their approach tomorrow night.

Obviously, I have not watched but I can say this, it’s not lost on me at ALL. UK is playing to make Hoover. We were right where they are just a few years ago. They aren’t just gonna roll over and we shouldn’t expect them to do so.

They just beat the number 1 team in the country, they should be pumped, let’s see what happens, seems like Tidwell and Dollander, I’ll take that any day of the week.

UT has played 46 games so far and lost 5 games. Tennessee Tech by one, Auburn by 2 when Auburn had 2 outs in the 9th and won by 2, Alabama by 3, at UK by 1 in extras, with Texas winning 7 to 2 early in the season. That's insane playing 46 baseball games and being in 44 to 45 of those games depending how you look at it. Sure it sucks to lose when UT is having one of the best ever collegiate baseball seasons on record. But it happens, believe or not the baseball players are human. Let's hope UT rebounds and wins the next 2 and have sell out, loud crowds the final 5 regular season games. Enjoy this team in the moment!!! It will likely not happen again. This fanbase is super loyal and top 5 in the country. At times though its ridiculous reading through game threads no matter the sport. Holly Warlick might as well killed herself on the Summitt and that's just women's basketball. This fanbase is rabid and not many other fanbases realize the legit passion. Having said all of that GBO!!

I always hated games like these . Walks deep counts erratic pitchers. Your hitter never seam to be comfortable. Hitters usually try to figure out what they think the pitcher is going to throw next and the pitcher is so inconsistent they never get comfortable a the plate . Leaving to many on base early usually comes back to haunt you . Congratulations to there pitchers but they were very lucky. GBO win the series.

Not even sure KY was inconsistent on purpose but we were definitely off balance all night.
