It appears Dollander and Tidwell are absolutely dealing now, with Burns just behind. I am very curious what we see from Beam today in light of his last outing. The pitching puzzle seems to be coming together very nicely now.

Luckily for us we come out on top ~87% of the time. We had one weekend against Kentucky in which we lost a one run game in 13 innings and everyone was ready to vote Oregon St #1. We pull that game out and it’s business as usual. This team is head and shoulders above every other team in the country. That same Beavers team, look at their last two series and you will see they are taking a nosedive. You know why? Because they can’t hit for power and it’s coming back to bite them in the rear end against good teams. We have 90 more HRs than the #2 ranked team in the country. We have the best pitching staff and the best offense in the country and it’s not even close. I will take our chances with the one-off games in which we score 2 runs because I trust our pitching will keep us in every single ball game.

Well said. Our pitching is often overshadowed by our offense. But the pitching isn’t just great…it’s really deep.

I do. You do have a cursive signature? Not everyone has electronic or digital signatures. Identity theft wasn’t a problem 30 years ago. Cursive was considered a clue into a person’s intelligence.

I’ve always kinda liked Mississippi State in baseball. They’re a school with whom Tennessee has no ill will or historic rivalry. As a longtime college baseball fan, I appreciate their fan support and I’ve always wanted to see a game at Dudy Noble. Plus, they had all that tradition and no championship. So they were the team I’d always pull for once Tennessee was eliminated. Hate to see them this down, but I’m sure they’ll be back soon enough.

Exactly. You never tank. That said, if it comes down to going all out with our pitchers to win in Hoover or make sure they’re not worn down for the Regional, you do the latter.

That’s a good point. Mine is a combination of print, cursive and chicken scratch…maybe 50% cursive? Problem is my knowledge of other letters outside of that is gone. Stopped writing in cursive for checks - almost stopped writing checks altogether.

There’s a free lot probably a 1/2 mile from the stadium. There’s signage when you come in to the general stadium area and any of the attendants working the pass lots can point you in the right direction.
