I think the batter who had the infraction struck out on next pitch and was the 2nd out. The next hitter hit the liner that struck Chase. CFA was upset at the fact that the batters box infraction (hitter stepped in and out of the box at least twice) wasn’t called a strike, the 3rd base coach was tipping the pitches by watching Chase’s grip, and some folks in the dugout were clapping after Chase went down. Theory is hitter squared up on Chase bc he knew the pitch. Not against the rules but would be more difficult if 3rd base coach was forced to stay in box.Thanks. I'd wondered if the bench was razzing Dolly while he was down and pissed the staff off. Either way the ump and bama broke the orange rule. Never....poke....the....bear. 15-4 is so sweet. I'm sure they thought they'd steal a series from us.
Not a bad idea. Not sure many teams have ever had the depth to try that strategy. I’ll trust CFA.Just going to throw this idea out there. So it seems we have good news on Doolander. Still have a hard time believing he doesn’t miss at least one start. So how about this: we give him this coming weekend off (start Tidwell in place). Follow this up with giving Burns the next weekend off (Auburn series). And then give Beam a weekend off the following (Kentucky series).
Just an idea to give everyone a break, particularly the freshmen. Don’t hammer me too bad.
Good to meet you Saturday!Just got back to ATL after a long weekend in Knoxville, Attended Fri and Sat game and spent today with family albeit watching most of the game on SEC+ and/or listening to JW. Must say that Saturday’s game rivaled almost any sporting event I’ve ever been to for the intensity and sheer enjoyment. This team and coaching staff is truly special. Makes all the hotel rooms and time traveling well worth it. My daughter and her friend had the best time, and said I see why you are here so often. Good times! #memories
. My daughter was originally only staying for one night but ended up begging to go to Sat’s game as well because she and her best friend had so much fun. (It didn’t take much begging as it thrills me that we share the same passion for UT baseball). She loved her Vollie Fingers jersey and you and Kirby made her weekend with the autograph! Sincerely appreciate it!Glad y’all had a good weekend. Thanks again.
Come on up- most of the time a few seats in the row above us are empty. We move around and often spread out there.Same here. Hated that we didn’t get a chance to talk more... I started to try to find an empty seat near you for an inning or two but it was a pretty full house and I hate being “that guy” not in his ticketed seat. . What a series! Wow!
