Completely off topic here, but since we have 2 staff members, I have to ask.
Do you guys follow other Tennessee sports or just baseball and softball?
The reason I ask is, do you guys discuss those games on the baseball forum, because I really hope you do! It’s so much fun over here and much more civil!

I love all sports and whenever someone says they don’t enjoy a certain sport, it’s usually because they haven’t put the effort into learning about that sport. Also, football and basketball dominate the headlines in the United States so that’s what the majority is going to be familiar with. I try to keep up with as much as I can but it’s difficult with a busy life sometimes. The main sports I keep up with are football, basketball, and baseball. But I root for all Vols athletics to have success.

As far as forums go, there is a HUGE difference in the football, and the basketball forum to a smaller extent, compared to the baseball forum on game days. Everyone here is having a good time and very friendly. Yes we may call out bonehead plays from time to time but we don’t single out players/coaches. The football forum is like a pool of bloodthirsty sharks waiting for that slab of meat to jump in.

Hahaha my type of player right there. I don’t need a scouting report because I’m just going to play my game. I will say that Kentucky pitchers do strikeout a lot of players and I believe they lead the SEC in K’s looking. They have only hit 19 home runs in SEC play while only giving up 21, so they try to keep the ball in the yard.

I personally don't visit the other forums to often.....I'm a baseball guy but I do follow all other sports. Feel free discuss all the other sports in your own thread if you like. I feel that there are several folks on the Baseball Forum that would prefer to stay here as mush as possible.

I do, but rarely post. When I say something stupid over here, you guys either chalk it up to baseball ignorance and let it go or if I say something really stupid, not even pertaining to baseball, you just bust my chops. On the other boards, you get crucified and I’m not really into message board arguments or firing coaches, mid game.

Yeah, let's see how that goes...

Their record may not show it, but they do have a pretty decent pitching staff. This will be the best pitching we see in the SEC behind Vanderbilt and A&M. We don’t play Arkansas or LSU, which are the two best staffs behind Tennessee at the moment. I’ve learned to not overlook or take any SEC opponent lightly. Baseball is one of those crazy sports where the best team doesn’t always win.
