I agree normally. But if you watch it again, he held up a long time bc of the line Drive. He would have had him by 3 steps.Hmmmm. Don't normally base that play to 3rd because the runner is usually already moving with a lead... Hard out at 3rd.

But it's easy for me to sit here watching on TV and see that compared to him being in the heat of the moment with the pressure, he has to make a decision and probably didn't even notice the runner had hesitated.
