Wrong. The DP was in effect. Actually, bc the runner on 2nd had to hesitate bc of the line drive, play should have went to third and it would have kept the force at all 3 bags.He shouldn't have been looking at second base. There was one out, and with a five run lead the second out at first secures the win all but 99%. The play was to first all the way.

My takeaways:Missed most of the game working. Sounds like some struggles on offense and defense. Take always?
I get what you are saying, but you turn a DP and game is Actually OVER.Beg to disagree, respectfully. The two runners advancing from 2nd to third and 1st to 2nd represented meaningless runs. You get the second out and all but end the game right there. Even a three run homer isn't going to beat you then, or even a Granny. No way they can score 5 or six runs on our bullpen when we already have two outs.
If we suspend a player in the post-season for simply flipping the bird, I have lost all faith in this world. How freaking soft that would be. Grow some thicker skin if that hurts your feelings. Ain’t no crying in baseball.

But once he hesitated, play was at 3rd.I get what you are saying, but you turn a DP and game is Actually OVER.
He agreed with my post about taking either out. DP is inherently more risky than a single out. That was simply the point he wanted to make. Acknowledge and move on because it is a valid point. Lawson had some options however none of them worked out.I get what you are saying, but you turn a DP and game is Actually OVER.
I agree hence me saying he should've went to 3rd. Shorter throw and that runner had to hesitate also.I hear ya, but you're not gonna get a DP with such a fast runner at the plate and the ball not hit sharply. Gotta know who's running. The batter was so fast just that little hesitation cost Lawson his chance to get him.
