It was a weird game. Paul Bunyon (Zach Maxwell) had electric stuff for Tech. Hit triple digits all night for 6 innings and we were fooled by his slider. No earned runs on him and not a single barreled baseball.

Cortland had his worst game of the season. 3 of their 6 runs were unearned due to Cortland’s 3 errors. But, survive and advance. This team doesn’t quit and when we got Big Boy out of the game our offense came alive.

Biggest takeaway is that college umpires are still trash.

The next time someone tells me our next opponent can't pitch I'm gonna laugh in his face.

Doubt they can be any worse behind the plate. Worse I've ever seen plus it screws a batter's head up.

Macias was worse, but the guy tonite was terrible. Even McDonald was shaking his head verbally at the balls and strikes calls.

Yep, that’s what I thought too and then the announcers mentioned it. Forced a hurried throw to first as a result. Hopefully it’s just a one off game for him and he’s got it behind him. Time to look forward.

It came up on him and took a minute to get it in the glove, then the look to 2nd and then well that throw. I think he will shake it off. I think he just needs 1 or 2 routine plays and then he will clear it out. A new weekend will help too.

Yep, my two cents, we were in attack mode at the plate to start, once we settled into make him pitch mode we turned it around. Burns has pitched better, but it ain’t the end of the world. We swept in Hoover and we swept the regional but were challenged as any team would be. Moving on! Fully expect Frey to be on his game this week! Here come The Fighting Irish! Legoooooooooooooo!!!

Something HAD to been said by the RF earlier in the game for Beck to react like that. Same as Wright St last year, when Gilbert hit his Granny, our players passed right by him screaming at Wright St dugout.

He shouldn't have been looking at second base. There was one out, and with a five run lead the second out at first secures the win all but 99%. The play was to first all the way.
