The Official #1 Tennessee vs Notre Dame Super Regional Games Thread (Fri 6/10 6PM EST ESPN 2) ( Sat. 6/11 2PM EST ESPN ) (Sun. 6/12 1PM EST ESPN)

These guys play great baseball. Watching the replay of Moore's hit last weekend to break open the region final. He took the count all the way to 3-2, everyone is on the move and bam, single scoring 2 runs. Then the Dicky hit, pinch runner who is safe at 2nd on sheer speed alone. Thats baseball! You don't need to be 6'8" and 250lbs to play!

After watching Tim Corbin cost Kumar Rocker $20+ million in up-front money, one would think that all the good Vandy pitchers will be in the transfer portal. Tim treats the arms like they are rented mules.

Vanderbilt baseball right-hander Christian Little has entered the transfer portal, according to reports from Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball and Brian Sakowski of Perfect Game.
Little, a top recruit in the class of 2021, reclassified and joined the Commodores early for the 2021 season. He spent his freshman season primarily as the midweek starter but started three games in the postseason, and he worked mostly out of the bullpen in his sophomore season.
In 2022, Little compiled a 1-2 record with a 3.72 ERA and three saves in three starts and 15 relief appearances.
Vanderbilt is coming off a disappointing season, finishing with its first losing SEC record since 2009 and losing in the NCAA regionals for the first time since 2016. Little started the final game, a loss to Oregon State, and gave up one run in three innings, receiving a no-decision.

Losing Little is a blow to Vanderbilt's pitching staff. He was a top candidate to become a weekend starter in 2023, along with incoming sophomores and returning starters Carter Holton, Devin Futrell and Bryce Cunningham. Little, who was the youngest player on the team in 2021 and 2022, will be draft eligible in 2023 and is a potential first-round pick.
Baseball players have until July 1 to enter their names in the transfer portal and be immediately eligible at their next stop.

Ready for the game tonight! Two confident teams going at it between the lines. I'm prepared for another dogfight, punch-counter punch type of game. Neither team will back down. I liken this weekend to a final, comprehensive exam. ND will try to exploit our weaknesses to gain the upper hand. Hopefully, our guys will have learned from past experiences and pass the exam (Disciplined plate approach and competitive ABs, throwing strikes, etc..) Whatever happens, our guys will compete until the final out.

I think the LNS will give our guys a tremendous energy boost.

Four Catholic ladies are having coffee together, discussing how important their children are.

The first one tells her friends, “My son is a priest. When he walks into a room, everyone calls him ‘Father’.”

The second Catholic woman chirps, “Well, my son is a Bishop. Whenever he walks into a room, people say, ‘Your Grace.'”

The third Catholic woman says smugly, “Well, not to put you down, but my son is a Cardinal. Whenever he walks into a room, people say, ‘Your Eminence.'”

The fourth Catholic woman sips her coffee in silence. The first three women give her a subtle, “Well…?”

She replies, “My son is a charismatic, 5’11”, head baseball coach at the University of Tennessee. Whenever he walks into a room, people say, ‘My God.'”
