The Official #13 Tennessee vs. Texas Tech Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, ESPN

They were awful too. It’s what you get with Pat Adams. A bad charge call on Chandler is the difference in the game. You can’t excuse bad officiating either.
It was one bad call but not the reason we lost. Vols lose regardless. We played horrible and it sucks as a fan. But the kids will be home n few hrs or so and they won’t remember it.
Uros lives as the Uptown Bar on the strip three nights week til 3am. 😝

Long, athletic and tough. We've got a way to go and a lot to learn. One thing is certain....we need HH to figure it out and quickly.

Agree! I also said last game I miss having a quick jumping leaper on the team. Tonight really exposed why.

Barnes failed this team as much as the players did. Cant really blame the players. If Barnes is going to set there and let them fire up 3 after 3 and say nothing then they are going to keep doing it. There are no set plays or high ball and screens. Its just come down and throw up 3s

I'm not going to blame Barnes' too much because we actually had so many clean looks and you'd think that eventually we'd hit a few because analytics say you should, but I do place some amount of blame on him for failing to adapt and make adjustments as the game went on. He did this team no favors tonight.

Did you watch the game? We had PLENTY of wide open 3s that were created from driving the basketball. Players have to make shots.

He poorly timed a dunk trying to make a selfish highlight play.

That’s what I initially thought. Maybe I’m wrong but something with his body language led me on I believe he had a special dunk planned. Maybe I’m wrong.

Sadly, yes. Not a Top-25 team. Shades of last year where after the Mizzou game we had Rob Dauster and Aaron Torres saying how we might be the best team in the country. In reality, we have no offense. No inside game. No perimeter game. Just no identity.

The problem I have with this loss is we can’t keep haiving these games that literally everyone sucks on offense. A decent offensive showing tonight and we win probably by 10.

That was ugly. Live by the 3, die by the 3. Had nothing on interior and couldn’t buy a bucket from perimeter, despite open looks. We needed to try and push tempo but TTU wasn’t going to give us anything easy. Just move on to the next one.

This has happened before. Sometimes both teams play poorly. Doesn’t excuse the refs. In fact it makes the officiating more impactful.

Good coaches don't allow their players to settle for threes over and over when the shots aren't falling. One of the first things Phil Jackson did when he got to the Lakers was make them stop shooting threes when they weren't hitting them. It's pretty basic.
