Bailey was playing over Powell. His and ZZs minutes don't really affect each other. If they did though, ZZ should get them all over Bailey.

Let’s not blame the refs. We lost the game. We had so many chances to pull away and didn’t. Too many missed shots. The Vols are a poor shooting team with the exception of Vescovi and Powell. And both of them lack consistency.
Bama had a horrible game beyond the arc, less than 25%, yet still won the game. The refs allowed both teams to play.
I hate to admit it but I agree w some posters regarding the lineup w Uros and Bailey getting so many minutes.

And why is Barnes drawing up plays for VICTOR BAILEY OH MY GOD. Powell sitting as much as he did that half makes no sense. The way those final 7-8 game minutes went completely ruined how I felt the team fought the rest of the night.

Please make this team shoot 10,000 shots a day until their legs fall off. We are so inconsistent on that end of the court.

I said earlier that Barnes deserves a lot of credit for building this team. He’s done a lot of great things at this University when basketball was close to be left for dead. I’m glad he’s our coach overall.

But tonight is on Barnes. CoVid isn’t an excuse. Yes, it hurt, but you play with the players you have and they (for the most part) showed up in a big way. His hard-headedness with rotation and substitutions absolutely killed us in the 2H. And we looked absolutely lost in the last 2 minutes of the game.

Eh, coaches did it correctly. Originally they were looking for Vescovi on the left. I get wanting Powell in, but the play call was there.

If your second option (and I think it was the first based on ON setting the screen) is Victor Bailey for 3, you gotta rethink it

Uros was definitely fouled putting the last offensive rebound back up. Should have went to the line. Oates jumping the refs and Barnes just sits there after that obvious foul is the difference. No place left for nice guys when gumpers are robbing you.

Man I can’t wait until we actually have a team who can actually shoot. Loads of talent and yet our offense is pathetic more times than not.

We've been waiting on that for a long time now and we are a long way away from it right now.

I wish I could understand how a team could play so smart and so well for 34 minutes only to lose their grip on the rope so completely at the end. It's not as if Alabama suddenly got better - they didn't. Tennessee just fumbled it. These are the sorts of upset wins that can really build a season to something special. Just a real shame. First no Memphis game and then this.

Not the reason they lost, but they refuse to call traveling anymore. Yet they will call 10,000 charges. It’s nonsense and incompetent.

Blew that one. Should have won that. Same ole same ole. Can't beat Florida in the swamp in football and can't beat Bama at at Bama in basketball. Even when we should.

We have a roster full of people who can't score. Who you can't even trust to give it to within 5 feet of the basket. One of the guys who can score inside can't get in the game. It's maddening how the roster is filled with people incapable of scoring.

Yeah it sucks but also our 2 guys who score the most were out today and we led a top 20 team for 39 mins in their place.

So I still feel good about this team, work to do but it can be done.
