Let's see, I do believe we were coming off the heels of running a coach out of town like a bunch of liquored up hicks, before and after coaches were ran from the program.

Do you hear any of that any more? Nope. He changed the culture, and has us on a winning track. Not his fault people like you have the rationale of fart box.

It absolutely was. And it was a great play call. Great execution. And you run it for YOUR WORST shooting guard. Mind-boggling! Barnes coached with VB's mom at Texas. His mom must have incriminating evidence against Barnes. It's the only explanation. He is too good of a coach to think VB gives us a better opportunity to make that shot than Santi or Powell. I am most screaming about BHH so much because Uros actually played big best half of basketball and BHH looked lost on defense in the first half. But playing VB is inexcusable

We will never get past the Sweet 16 with Barnes and that will be a rarity. His coaching decisions when it comes to player personnel are puzzling. He’s so overrated as a coach it’s ridiculous

I know you’re getting roasted for this but it’s hard to argue. He’s our Mark Richt or Kirby Smart .

It’s completely possible to like Barnes and appreciate what he’s done for the program AND place blame squarely on him when his Achilles heel(s) shows itself in big games - terrible rotations and substitutions and questionable situational coaching.

He expects better from his players. It’s not unreasonable to expect better from him.

He has no offensive identity either. I'm wondering when he gets on a role with 3 pointers once a year if it's luck. I'd be happy if the 12-15 footer was his game. It seems he's reached his ceiling.

Powell maybe was sick. Only reason Bailey played the minutes he did. Bailey little to none against Arizona.

Btw, Uros getting a lot of hate, but he finished a team high +5. Only UT player to have a positive plus minus who played more than a few minutes.

ON on the other hand exhausts me. He hit the big shot late, but he took 17 shots and only managed 15 points!! And one time he had a rebound right in front of him and basically acted like he wasn’t allowed to touch it until an Alabama player scoops it and scores. That’s possibly the difference right there

I remember the days when Tennessee being ranked in men's college basketball was the stuff of dreams. I think we have a lot to be proud of. If Fulky and Chandler had played we'd have won by 10 or more.

I wish I could understand how a team could play so smart and so well for 34 minutes only to lose their grip on the rope so completely at the end. It's not as if Alabama suddenly got better - they didn't. Tennessee just fumbled it. These are the sorts of upset wins that can really build a season to something special. Just a real shame. First no Memphis game and then this.

Alabama was shooting horribly and playing very badly overall. We were killing them on the boards, which is huge. They hung around because our offense was mostly centered around Uros getting fouled after rebounds. I.E we had no offense. Once they made a couple of shots and got it from 6 to 1 we were done because we can't score with any pressure late in games.

Not the reason they lost, but they refuse to call traveling anymore. Yet they will call 10,000 charges. It’s nonsense and incompetent.

The SEC schedule is coming up and we will see the. 7-9 players who w get the majority of minutes in those games. He is doing what a smart coach does, make players ear
N their time and let those who need to improve work on their game. I think BHH will start getting more minutes when he has shown he is ready for them.

Bailey getting minutes over Powell.... Bailey had open looks that Powell is at least gonna make a few... Excuses will be Chandler Fulky but an absolute terrible job of in game coaching..

Powell over Bailey all night long but Barnes must think Bailey plays better defense. He damn sure can't shoot.

JJJ played the entire game and did nothing, absolutely nothing. His defense even sucked and he didn’t get many rebs either.

JJJ should ride the bench period. He offers nothing but some defense when he decides to play it. I will trade his defense for someone that can shoot better than he does

I'm a huge CRB fan, but - Oats worked the refs over and Barnes not so much. And obviously our best lineup wasn't on the floor the last 4 min.

Wouldn't be such a gut punch except we were in a great spot to win late.

I notice he doesn't work the refs like other coaches. Oates got some whistles in that second half that they weren't calling in the first half. Barnes is a decent coach and that's about it..

I will never understand why that works but it really seems to. If a coach were to get in my face acting like a jacka** telling me how to do my job, I don’t think I’d be any more inclined to make calls for his team

Once again you’re making this now Powell vs Bailey. I clearly said Powell should be on floor after the 5 minute mark give or take 60-90 seconds.

ZZ and Bailey don't play the same position and don't take minutes from each other.

That said, I can't see any argument for Bailey to even be on the team. Let alone playing heavy minutes.

Agree a lot! BHH couldn't anchor the post against a driving Bama offense... I hate it, but defensively he has so much work to do.

I honestly felt like Uros played decent, filled up lane, got his rebounds, and put forth great effort. I won't fault Uros.
