We have a roster full of people who can't score. Who you can't even trust to give it to within 5 feet of the basket. One of the guys who can score inside can't get in the game. It's maddening how the roster is filled with people incapable of scoring.

That’s the problem, We are too unselfish. We should identify 2-3 players and they should be who the offense flows through and they should be the ones to take the crucial shots. Instead, we can be down 2 with 10 seconds to play and you may see Uros take the game winning 3, on a pass from Vescovi!

That’s a gut punch to be ahead pretty much the entire game and lose it in the last couple minutes. I understand why Barnes went zone to prevent ZZ from fouling out but I preferred us stay in man down the stretch. The zone cost us on that corner three that tied it up. Still, I was expecting us to get ran off the floor without our two best players. I don’t really believe in moral victories but there are a lot of positives we can take away from this game.

I like the guy but JJJ continues to lay eggs in big games, I wish he had the heart ZZ has. In my opinion BHH and Powell need to play more. Good effort and I really believe our depth could pay off over the conference schedule because I believe each week teams will down a few players. GBO .

And why is Barnes drawing up plays for VICTOR BAILEY OH MY GOD. Powell sitting as much as he did that half makes no sense. The way those final 7-8 game minutes went completely ruined how I felt the team fought the rest of the night.

Please make this team shoot 10,000 shots a day until their legs fall off. We are so inconsistent on that end of the court.

Interestingly enough was the disappearance of JJJ. He ran away from the ball the last few minutes.

It's still hard to say what the hell happened in the last 3 minutes besides the ref's allowing Bama to hack.

Yeah it sucks but also our 2 guys who score the most were out today and we led a top 20 team for 39 mins in their place.

So I still feel good about this team, work to do but it can be done.

I agree with you. The problem with that is if we chalk it up to oh well he plays good D then we really need to fix the rotations. He can’t be out there with Uros and certainly not Bailey. It’s basically 3 worthless offensive players

I love Barnes as a coach. He’s a great coach and he makes most right decisions. However, I am having very hard time understanding his insistence on playing Uros and Bailey over Huntley-Hatfield and Powell. Yes Uros and Bailey have been around much longer and probably don’t make as many defensive mistakes, but are issues are not defensively but offensively. The gap between Powell and Bailey defensively can’t be much of any, Bailey still gets beat 1 v1 and gets lost a lot defensively. Uros does have better D than BHH, but to what extent?? The offense that BHH and Powell brings is way better, and in my opinion was needed tonight and has been needed in other games.

Let’s not blame the refs. We lost the game. We had so many chances to pull away and didn’t. Too many missed shots. The Vols are a poor shooting team with the exception of Vescovi and Powell. And both of them lack consistency.
Bama had a horrible game beyond the arc, less than 25%, yet still won the game. The refs allowed both teams to play.
I hate to admit it but I agree w some posters regarding the lineup w Uros and Bailey getting so many minutes.

Yeah, not to mention thet stopped calling traveling in 1985. At some point you just have to take it for what it is.
