He was 50% on 3’s on the night going into the last play. I literally have zero problem with him shooting a pretty much wide open look there.

It was a good play and JJJ was mostly money from 3 tonight. You dont rely on ZZ drawing a foul because these refs treated him like he was the game bully. It would have ended with an offensive foul on the 5'9 PG.

Why....just why is it JJJ who gets the last shot there?

That aside, there are two key plays that come to mind immediately that cost us the game:
1) ORN's unbelievably stupid half court foul at the end of the first half
2) the foul that JJJ didn't commit but got called for that ended up giving Texas the one point lead.

Plenty of others where we shot ourselves in the foot, but those two, amongst a number of missed shots at the rim, cost us this game.

Both were bad calls, fire Barnes! Am I doing this right?

He did make 3 of our 5 threes before that. Vescovi was the one that couldn’t hit anything tonight surprisingly. He was a complete no show.

Down 1. You don’t need a 3. Drive the ball. Get a foul call worst case. That was dumb AF

It was wide open. Vescovi can’t get his own shot. It was drawn up well…and JJJ just happened to be the one.
