There is zero doubt in my mind that Heupel did in fact tell Milton, “if it’s not there, just throw it in the stands.”
I just don’t think Heupel intended for Joe to actually do it, like he was playing a game of hot potato!!

It was a stupid play call. When we lined up with four going out and they had six in the endzone. What is the point of even trying a throw in the endzone ? We don't have a play maker that can go up over people and make a play.

There were plays to be made, certain positions are holding back the offense.
I would immediately turn to the young receivers, Webb, nimrod, etc...
Priority #1 is finding 1-2 guys who can cover in the secondary!

Josh H. went from SEC coach of the year to SEC flop of the year. Last year, through 10 games, the Vols scored 512 points.
This year we have scored 314 points. Almost 200 points difference. 17 points in the last two games
Some fans say well we are 8-4 this year (assuming we beat Vandy).
We beat Virginia, Austin Peay and UTSA (cupcakes games). Three SEC games which we won two by only one score.
JH with Milton is acting just like Pruitt and JG and that is really bad.

I was thinking the same thing. Pruitt brought in Hooker, Hyatt, Wright, Tillman, Mays, ,Keeton. Who do we have playing that is contributing much that Hype has brought in? Samson is doing good I hope the players we have on the bench are actually better than the starters. If not, we will be in for more lean years.

Hell yes blame the OC hes in the booth. He can see the field. His play calling is sh1t. Heupel isnt going anywhere until at minimum his comtract is up. But he needs better coaches to succeed long term

That and you need some depth. We're thin. There was a big drop off in our OLine injuries, Bru was a big loss, Pili was a good portal grab who got hurt, and all the guys who graduated from last year.

We're just not loaded like GA and Bama to holler "next man up" and expect only a little drop off. I wish, but that's not how it is.

Something seems odd about the Nico situation. "He's not going to redshirt" but now "we're preserving his redshirt."

My main concern was his size and I saw someone say he'd only played 2 years in high school (I'll confess I didn't investigate that) so I'm just curious how much data was really out there on him to get him the 5* rating.

I'm not motivated to "deep dive" into Nico's history because I want to believe, but I'm concerned by the redshirt stuff.

DL will be fine as long as Garner is there. We’re pretty thin at OL though and next year there will be inexperience in that group. Need to grab some in the portal. Nico is uber talented, but I’m concerned about his inexperience next year. I also have BVS and worry he’ll be a bust lol. Who knows.

Got home, not long ago and saw the score. Looks like the first half was somewhat competitive and then Georgia either just took over, or we just stopped playing well.
