He took a 3 step drop and threw it in the stands. That's all im saying. He didn't look for an opening. Ran 3 seconds off the clock with that play.Had Milton thrown an INT in the end zone where GA had about 6 defenders, would that have helped?
Had he thrown short of the goal and not have scored and time ran out, would that have helped?
He had no clear open man and threw it out of bounds in time for a FG.
Is 3 better than 0?
They had already planned to settle for a field goal so they had to run the play to take more time off the clock. Didn’t want to chance an interception so he just threw it into back of end zone. That way after the field goal try the clock would be at zeroCan you explain that pass into the crowd to end the half? Heupel install that?
Honestly just looked like a normal pass from Milton. Not really sure our coaches were thinking that far aheadThey had already planned to settle for a field goal so they had to run the play to take more time off the clock. Yes, I’m assuming Heupel is wrong in his decision. Clearly, he was wrong naming Milton the starter over Hooker. ANYONE who watched the first couple series when Hooker came in could see he had a much better command of Heupel’s offense. Unfortunately, I think the same is in play now. Milton performs at a high level in practice but is consistently inconsistent in big games. He has the physical traits like a JaMarcus Russell but NOT the intangibles, like a JaMarcus Russell. Honestly, I think we are better right now with Heupel’s QB2 or 3. He just might be wrong again, I think he is. He has nothing to lose at this point.UNLESS Heupel thinks Gaston, Navy, and Nico are actually not as good or not as ready.
That may be proven wrong but on the bench is Arch Manning at TX. Beck couldn't beat out Bennett (and think about that.) Ewers sat at Ohio State before going to TX.
You're assuming Nico is ready based upon nothing. Joe may very well be the best we have.
Recall that JG sucked but Bailey and Maurer never panned out even at much lower tier schools.
There were 6 guys, at least, standing on the goal line for GA at the snap.He took a 3 step drop and threw it in the stands. That's all im saying. He didn't look for an opening. Ran 3 seconds off the clock with that play.
I’m beginning to wonder if Nico is what he was sold to be. Either Nico isn’t that good or The Hype is just too loyal, to stubborn or hell IDK but I don’t know many coaches that would keep the better QB on the sideline.
You never know how a kid is going to react until the lights come on and it’s game time. May be great, may be bad. No one knows until that point. We have seen enough of Milton to know how he does under pressure, Only thing coach has to lose now is credibilityYes, I’m assuming Heupel is wrong in his decision. And I pointed out good QBs who didn't start, couldn't start, weren't ready to start.Yes, I’m assuming Heupel is wrong in his decision. Clearly, he was wrong naming Milton the starter over Hooker. It’s beginning to look like what he started with is better than he’s brought in.
It was a stupid play call. When we lined up with four going out and they had six in the endzone. What is the point of even trying a throw in the endzone ? We don't have a play maker that can go up over people and make a play.He took a 3 step drop and threw it in the stands. That's all im saying. He didn't look for an opening.
