They come with an absolute cowitness mount normally, but there are aftermarket risers that will get it to the 1/3 cowitness. Many of the red dot sights have the lower 1/3, but EOTech isn't one of them. If it is causing problems, I would suggest getting the riser:

or Brownells

Both are reputable companies. If you want to go for the gold, Larue makes one, but I don't see spending over a hundred bucks for a piece of aluminum.
227 is a double stack. But feels almost the same grip wise as the 226.
However, same horrid standard trigger lol. SRT is the only way to go on Sigs.
Haha I'm actually going to change out the SRT in the 227 for a standard. Just a better feel for me.
I tried my best to ignore Sig's the last few years, especially considering the price point. But, I shot a buddies 227 and had to pick one up. I actually like the E2 grip on the 227 and may go that route on the 226 as well.
I had a p220 years ago that I always regretted trading. It would literally feed empty brass. When I shot the 227 I just had to heat up the credit card at BPW.
I keep forgetting you are in the Birmingham area - this is Birmingham Pistol Wholesale right? Do you know if they have a Sig armorer?
I don't think they do. The chap that owns ATI is a sig armorer. Pretty decent indoor range to boot.
Alabama Training Institute & Pistol Range
the only time I went to ATI it was so dang hot and humid in there my glasses were fogging up something terrible.
shot at the outdoor range in Pleasant Grove a couple weeks ago. Nice to shoot outside for a change.
I have a membership at Hoover Tactical and it's about 5 minutes from the house
