The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

Went with the CZ SP-01 tactical.
Way late to the game on this, but I have some experience with a 75 P-01 Omega.

Smooth operating firearm. Very, very accurate. For some reason there is always one on my nightstand when I check into a hotel. 🫢

Has your experience been the same?

Maybe that’s why you’re here. To collect new ones
Making a list.

Currently evaluating a holiday season build:

FN stripped lower
Daniel Defense SOCOM upper with quad picatinny rails, grips, stock
Geiselle single stage flat trigger and ultra duty LPK
Toolcraft DLC BGC
Aero Precision buffer tube and spring
Warcomp flash hider
Fixed offset tritium iron sights
Optics TBD.

Not about to chase women or gamble at casinos, so, might as well build off quality parts at holiday discount prices.

What would y'all recommend for my first "real" gun. Since I'm wanting to go into law enforcement I feel I need to get comfortable with em and I think any man should know how to use a gun. So what do y'all recommend?
Did you end up doing that?

I did indeed, when I made that post I had just started in the Jail as a C/O, then graduated the academy in 2015 with the same department. Worked for them up until November of 2022 when I started with the Highway Patrol. I’m sure I’ll retire there lol

can confirm its smooth. I really like the ergonomics. granted I had prior experience with handguns, and CZ doesn't do anything weird, but I was still amazed with how the ergonomics helped my operation of it.

....maybe if it was even more ergonomic I would be a better shot with it...

Anyone like Dan Wesson 1911s? Picked up this like new ECO and am extremely happy with it. I traded my Sig Spartan 1911 and a Para 1911 for it...think I got the better end of the deal. Should be a great carry gun...I have a Milt Sparks Criterion coming in tomorrow. I'll be done trading and buying for a while now.

I had a Dan Wesson Valor. It was amazing.

I only got rid of it to get a Nighthawk Custom
