The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

I'm becoming a big fan of .380 pistols. I'd like to find a reasonable and in good condition Beretta 85fs Cheetah and eventually get a PPK.

They aren't very practical given the size to ammo trade-off but I really like the form factor.

no luck, there wasn't a Colt .380 that I was looking for there

I have the regular model - actually it's a Firestorm but basically the same thing.

It's a great little gun. It's the Walther PPK perfected. It's nowhere near the fit and finish of my Sig p232 but it handles, shoots and has every bit as good a trigger.

Shot a friend's CC and liked it so I figured I wouldn't pass at that price.

Extra mags are a pain to find but that's not a huge deal for me.

I actually have both, the Bersa Thunder and the Walther PPK/s. It hurts me to say this, but I think the Bersa is actually a better gun. If I were Q, Bond would be handed the Bersa haha.

That DA pull on a PPK is brutal compared to the Bersa. From what I've read, the Bersa feeds ammo much more reliably as well.

Still I'd like to pick up a PPK (and the above mentioned Beretta and maybe a CZ-83)

You'll have to pick up the CZ-83 used. They stopped making them a couple of years ago.

I've got the CZ-82 in 9x18, it's a neat little shooter and the DA trigger isn't bad. The SA portion is...unique. Kind of mushy, but it's accurate enough.

Yep on the 83. Same for the Beretta 85fs

I picked up a couple Pro-mag versions. Internet shows them to be hit or miss. I've run about 20 rounds through each and couldn't tell any difference.

Beretta...Ranking somewhere around the Hi Point level with me.

Carried that damn thing for 20 years. Hated every second of it. Big, clunky, safety/decocker in the wrong spot, unbalanced, hates dust...I could go on, but I have about as much use for Beretta as I do Michael Bloomberg.

I owned one Beretta in my life, a Cougar in .45. Traded it for a scope and never looked back.

Yeah, they are one of the pricier pistol rounds but someone is selling one for about $450, so I figured I would buy it and if nothing else sell it for a little profit. Not a huge one. But I could have fun with it and make 40-50 bucks

Now all you need is the full sized brother.

You want that 1911...you need that 1911...you don't want to sell me death sticks...you want to go to your LGS and order a Sig 1911 XO...

Yes I do - my wallet doesn't (at least this month). Same look - I'm a sucker for blued with wood grips

This is the updated version of the Colt Mustang - apparently the Colt mags work in this.

Can't wait to hit the range

If you like wood grips, check this guy out:

And here's an example of his work on a Wilson:

One of the Nicest 1911's and 1911 Grips I've Ever Seen . . . Pics

I just like traditional looks - for me a 1911 is blued with wood grips. Wonder 9's are all black.

My sig p232 has black rubber Hogue's but I'm considering some pearl handles for it since it's all stainless.

I dunno, I don't think I could be mad if I got shot with a pistol that looked like that Wilson.

It's purty.

Here is a pick of my Pro, traditional look with no front cocking serrations and rosewood grips. One of the beast looking 1911s around.

Picked up a very nice custom built AR-15 last weekend. I'll try and get the specs listed out but it's very nice and pretty too. :)

I'll have pics this weekend. Hopefully do some shooting this weekend too.

Very nice, post some pics. I'm in the market for a new shotgun :) hoping to pick one up next week

I'm hunting optics now. I'm wanting a dual purpose set up. I want to shot 300 yards or 50 yards in a split second. Grandvol has been kind enough to email me some literature and links to some great optics. Just can't make up my mind.
