He chose to go conservative, as he did with OU, and it didn't work for him. If Halzle is calling this with Heupel, he can have some blame.

If this performance is any indicator on how we are going to play against a team with a pulse, then we'll see 3-4 more loses this season.

We got a freshman QB with a high ceiling. We got beat physically. We aren’t a good team. We hadn’t been tested. We could actually lose 6 games this year. We have to play like our lives depend on winning. If we don’t coach aggressively like that for the rest of the season, we could lose the rest of our games.

This loss will be the first of several this year unfortunately. In Heupel's 4th year, losing to a 3-2 unranked team is not ideal. Definitely lowers the expectations for the rest of the year considering the strength of the remining schedule.
