The Official #4 Tennessee @ Ole Miss Game Thread, 9:00 PM ET, ESPN2

lol we’re cooked then
Doesn't matter at all. Since 2000, only one team has won the natty that finished the regular season outside of Ken Pom's top 21 in offensive and defensive efficiency and that was UCONN in 2014. Tennessee is 27th in offensive effeciency, so none of this even matters, they statistically have no chance

Right they should have maybe, idk, broken Brakefields hands or something to keep him from scoring. One of the most EARNED dominate performances by a player, and you're crapping on Tenn because they aren't getting a #1 seed they likely weren't getting anyway.

This team has found ways to win better than any Barnes team. What is frustrating about it? Look at their losses and how the other team played. Quit whining.
Found a way to lose tonight.... multiple 8 point leads blown, typical scoring droughts let a inferior team hang around

Typical TN sports. So frustrating. Now we will be a 2 seed in Duke’s bracket. Hopefully Houston’s but don’t think it will matter. We can’t string together four consecutive games.
Ole Miss is similar to an eighth seed
If being a top 10 team is typical TN I'll take it

I can’t understand why you don’t encourage Shack to take the one on one rather than calling timeout and hoping Ole Miss struggles more with half court defense than transition defense.

That’s only partially Igor’s fault. Mashack could have had the same shot with more time on the clock.

There’s at least 3 other guys who should have been taking that shot out of a timeout.

Losing to Vandy, Ky at home and this team is just inexcusable
I excuse it without question. That doesn't mean anything, of course because I'm a nobody. I don't ever feel like a few losses in a marathon season is that big of a deal. They played well, as other talented teams can do. You'll learn

Never be shocked by dumb takes in a game thread.
Seriously, how many big games have we won this year? Yet according to some we always choke. It's tough to go on the road and win. We were three-point favorites. Everyone knew it would be a battle. Didn't go our way.

My biggest complaint, they took 14 more shots than us.

We seemed to get tentative looking for the perfect shot a bit too much.

Hard to win on the road in the SEC, they attacked the paint in second half and we didn’t adjust.

These last two games gave us the opportunity to be seeded #1 in arguably the most favorable bracket toward a final four run in recent history IMO. We just can’t have nice things. We’ll now get seeded in Duke’s region and Flagg will Brakefield us if we get far enough to play them. BVS kicking in maybe? LOL 😂

Still, had a #1 seed on the line and didn’t get it done and now that’s gone.

I don’t know if I’d call it a choke but we had leads that we didn’t extend and then went back into our usual offensive drought
They won Saturday with a 1 seed on the line. This was a brutal stretch to end the season, and they lost 1 of the last 4, which I think we all expected would happen (but we thought it would be Bama or A&M).
