The Official #4 Tennessee @ Ole Miss Game Thread, 9:00 PM ET, ESPN2

It's ok to be mad we lost. We likely just fumbled an opportunity to secure a #1 seed. That doesn't mean we aren't proud of this team and support them. Just a little frustrated in the moment. This may be Barnes last year. Time is running out. Urgency is growing. We all want to see Barnes do the impossible. We just want to believe it can happen. But we did get a little exposed that 2nd half even if Ole Miss had a ton of fortunate bounces.

Seriously, how many big games have we won this year? Yet according to some we always choke. It's tough to go on the road and win. We were three-point favorites. Everyone knew it would be a battle. Didn't go our way.
I think its just frustrating the way we lost. Got up by 8 a few times and felt in control. Then scoring droughts and they are right back in it. That 3-5 scoring drought is this teams weakness.

They win Saturday with a 1 seed on the line. This was a brutal stretch to end the season, and they lost 1 of the last 4, which I think we all expected would happen (but we thought it would be Bama or A&M).

Expectations change. I’d be more forgiving if we didn’t have several leads that we didn’t extend and in fact we kinda went stupid offense every time.

Well - there is still a slight chance that TN could get a 1 seed of the committee actually looks like all the metrics.

But if the Vols end up as a 2 seed - could be the best 2 seed which isn’t bad.

Just need to the final game and win one in the SECT.

Igor made a 4 point play just a while ago to keep us alive, but now everyone says he sucks. The fans are bipolar, not the team.

Brakefield went off, Beard is simply a winner. They will only get better if he stays. Sorry we lost, but it was an exciting game. We were never going to be a #1.

Because they seem to do it a lot. It's not about losing a close game. It's about losing to an inferior opponent with a lot on the line.
How do they do it a lot?

Just a typical fan reaction. Every freaking team this year has lost to “inferirir opponents.” It’s called college basketball.
