The Official #5 Tennessee @ Georgia Game Thread, 12:00 PM ET, ESPN2

A little nerve-wracking early in the game, but kudos to the typical defense you expect to see from a Barnes coached team late to close it out. A lot of the credit will go to Knecht on the offensive end,but I was really impressed by Aidoo in the paint. A double-double and several blocks.

Wow. I had to go run an errand so stoped watching the game when we went down 11 around 7-8 min mark. Bob wouldn’t announce “how much time” remained in the game but I left my car after Santi drained a three ball after ZZ made one of two foul shots.

I couldn’t get a signal at the pharmacy (Walmart) but my son called. I assumed he was calling to discuss the loss so you can imagine how excited I was when said we won.

It happens from time time but I got too riled up during the game as I know this team can play much better. At the end of the day, it’s a win on the road and I hope Barnes will learn from this game and resize we must go inside more in the future. Too many scoring droughts.

Go Vols!

I don't think they will be much better than a 9 and 9 conference team. They have wins over Arkansas that looks weak this year and Mizzou the same.

At this point in the season, I would bet against that. We'll see as the season goes on.

I think UT and UK are in a class by themselves. Auburn leads the next tier of teams that I believe UGA will be in by years end. They were well coached, played good defense, and have great guard play.

They're pretty damn good. White is a good coach and they have some real shooters. AbdurRahim is special

They have a good combination of shooting and athleticism on the perimeter. Pretty nonexistent on the interior, though. Not bad defensively, but not great either. They’ll probably be around .500 in league play. A tough out as we saw today, but not a complete enough team to make any serious noise.

Auburn looking like they could be the most complete team with a deep bench. UK has a complete team but not as deep of a bench.

That was a statement game for both teams. Would have been a statement win for Georgia. Would have been a statement loss for us. As it is, we won a game we were supposed to win. We all would rather have won it without DK having to score 36, but come selection Sunday, not a soul will care how we won this game or by how much.

Take the win, move on, straighten things out on defense, and re-evaluate the rotation. If JJJ isn’t going to give any more than he’s given the last two games, he needs to lose minutes to Mashack and maybe even Freddie for that matter.
As disappointing as JJJ’s offense has been this week, I don’t think we can go totally 4 guards and 1 post. JJJ is the only one stout enough to match up with forwards. JMO

I don’t entirely disagree. Probably going to depend on matchups. Georgia wasn’t very good in the post. Against teams with better post players, may have to play JJJ more for defensive purposes.
