As disappointing as JJJ’s offense has been this week, I don’t think we can go totally 4 guards and 1 post. JJJ is the only one stout enough to match up with forwards. JMO

I'd love to see other teams 4 guard Awaka. Would be cool to experiment with the Dood and him in at the same time. imo

I’m pretty sure that a board genius or two was calling for Barnes to bench him in the first half.

They have a good combination of shooting and athleticism on the perimeter. Pretty nonexistent on the interior, though. Not bad defensively, but not great either. They’ll probably be around .500 in league play. A tough out as we saw today, but not a complete enough team to make any serious noise.

They will be tough at home for anyone thinking about winning the SEC

UGA had a good shooting performance, but not getting much production inside from their big. With that recipe, I see them struggling on the road. Plus they are young and their inexperience showed in their inability to close out the game.

I think they will be around the middle of the pack fighting for 6th to 8th in SEC.

One trend that continues: nobody without an elite post player has been able to beat these Vols. Very few teams have a Zach Edey, Hunter Dickinson, Armando Bacot, Tolu Smith caliber post presence. I would say it bodes well for us that it seems like, at least right now, it takes having that kind of post presence to beat us.

The win against UGA today may look a whole lot better on our resume in a few weeks. They have definitely improved since last season.

Another case where they give up a 15-0 spurt that blew the 14 point lead, otherwise they win this game by 20. They need to mix in some drives to the basket, create contact and get to the foul line during these dry spells. Man, they can turn the defensive screws when they want to, a site to watch!
