The crowd has not given Texas AM a good look. Booing extremely obvious fouls on Texas AM, oooing and awing everytime a ball handler reversed his dribble for some reason, now that. Did the air ball chant with Z which I always hate but also I don’t even recall him airballing (I could be wrong about that one) Clearly not a basketball school

It’s a shame that he’s not been fired. Aaron Torres mentioned in a podcast recently how bad of a problem officiating is in the SEC, so everyone sees it. Those who can do something about it, though, seem content to do nothing.

I'd guess there are maybe 10-20 games per season, across the sport, in which one team simply catches magic and plays well above their norm and makes a really great team look below average.

This was one of those games.

A&M had everything going for them. Everything! And then Tennessee had a weirdly awful shooting night. I mean, they were even missing both free throws! Ugh.

Tennessee needs to flush this entire night from their memories. It was a bizarre aberration. They'll be okay.

I agree with everything except that Garcia is a thug. The refs were allowing it so he continued to play extremely physical.

The issue I have is the highly inconsistent refereeing from one crew to the next. One game, Awaka get called for breathing on someone and the next is a game of rugby.

Only thing he can do. Publicly humiliate Pat and probably call the SEC office behind the scenes to let them know exactly how he feels about Pat’s officiating. Beyond that, there’s nothing he can do unless he’s willing to take a fine by criticizing officiating in a press conference.

Given everything going on with UT athletics at the moment with the lawsuits, I’d say all the coaches have a directive to not throw a tirade about officiating in a press conference. He will do everything he can and at that point it is in the conference’s hands.

I know some didn’t like that Barnes played SV and JJJ as much as he did, but the only problem I had with the rotation was not playing Awaka more. I know he had some foul trouble (again), but he needed to be out there more to matchup on Garcia.

Got no issues with Garcia. He’s only 6-7 and leads the league in rebounding. It’s called hustle and I wish our big men had his desire to hit the boards.

Barnes made the right adjusments, it was just too late to make a difference. I don't think he took Knecht out as punishment-- it was just he had four fouls.

At the time it happened it could have gotten Tennessee back in the game. I don’t understand why a technical was not called. I think Adam’s knew he screwed up because Barnes was all over him and he did not call a technical foul.
