I used to get pi$$ed all the time like some of yall. I just got to the reality that we're going to lose some games. I couldn't let losses stress me out and ruin my day. There are so many other important things going on in life.

There will be a game that gets me like the end of the year, or like the 1st round playoff loss. Overall it's easier when I just accept it. Sometimes that means crediting the other team.

Then the game threads would be like 5 pages long if people reacted rationally. It is fun to read all the diarrhea.

I know it's been said 150 times in this thread already, but benching ZZ with 2 fouls for those final 7 minutes is antiquated coaching and incredibly frustrating. At times it feels like Barnes is literally prioritizing making sure guys don't foul out over winning the game. Sometimes you even have to accept that a guy will likely foul out, but in order to maximize his minutes you need to let him play, otherwise you're effectively fouling him out yourself.

In this case, ZZ should have gotten a rest and been given the opportunity to come back in the game and be a savvy veteran. I will never understand the logic that says, "I'm worried that this guy won't be available to play, so I'm going to bench him and watch us effectively lose the game to make sure he's in it at the end."

The famous Rick Barnes foul out with 7:20 to go in 1st half. Up 2pts ZZ gets 2nd foul out rest of 1st half-down 7 at half -9 pts in those mins. We lost by 1pt. My point is simply this trust your senior guard to play some through it. Because there is only 40 mins in a game so we basically took care of 7 crucial mins without him. He can take the extra fouls back to Knoxville it just doesn’t make since to me. Oh well onward and upward!

1 - 3 Seed will be where we end up but it will all rest in the officials hands.
Michigan State is a great example of a 6 lost teams making deep runs.

I tend to count TBA as home and the rest road, but technically yes, neutral court, especially considering how we had looked previously at Madison Square Garden.

Exactly. A conference loss on the road isn’t quad 2. This wasn’t MTSU.

You can have a quad 2 loss in conference. Just depends on where the Net of the opposing loss ends up.
