Didn’t say it was all because of Carr, but in that stretch with the 4 guys I mentioned all on the bench we had 3-4 missed shots & LSU hit 3 or 4 shots, at least 2 were 3s. That’s why we called TO & saw the subs.

I’m not saying we have to win both, but if we do we should be right on the mix for the conference championship. A@M will be tough environment and they really pound the offensive glass. A little concerning the difference in the rebound totals tonight. We definitely loss our focus in the second half, but it’s hard to maintain the efficiency that we played with in the first half. Hopefully we can hound Taylor and wear him down. Looking forward to a night game in Aggie land. We gotta flex our muscle Saturday night. Go Vols!

Looking ahead, A&M on the road isn’t a gimme. Tough team. Best offensive rebounding team in the league. They get to the free throw stripe a lot. Going to have to be a lot more focused and a lot tougher cleaning up missed shots than we were tonight. This team is plenty capable of getting that win, but I expect a close game.

Santi needs to shoot the ball or he needs to sit. No excuse to pass up the shots he turned down tonight. Gainey played major minutes tonight because of this. Gainey played well.

Very good win. We have to keep getting better inside play. Otherwise just keep working hard overall. Work on being more consistent at free throw line. Them points get important late in the season. GBO

Looking at stat board it was an impressive offensive showing. Enjoyed how we started and pushed pace. Got a bit ugly in 2nd half when we slowed it down and got hamstrung in halfcourt. Very surprised how much we got owned on the boards otherwise it would have been a 30+ pt win. LSU had 20 second chance pts to our 10. Can't do that against A&M. Knecht and Zeigler at 35-36 minutes on the floor is too much.

Auburn taking care of Alabama was helpful. We take care of A&M on the road, which won't be easy, we will be sitting in Top 4.

Barnes tolerated DK going 1 on 5 during that 13-0 LSU run. Sometimes he has to take responsibility. Call a TO & change the offense.

And he did, still he has to take his good looks and he has to work for his shot more. We need him shooting more than 2-3 shots in a entire game. We need him getting double figures, he is very capable of that. But he did play hard and make some good assist. He should have at least 3-4 shots tonight if he had been more aggressive in looking for his shot. Go Vols!

I posted a couple times but our post play is our primary weakness. LSU had too many inside points and hurt is on the glass. Plus I’d like to see us make more of our foul shots.

We won by 20 so, Go Vols!

bama’s remaining schedule looks very manageable…we might have to win out in order to win the conference. If we keep playing like this then anything’s possible.
