A couple of misses by Carr shouldn't take everyone else out of the game. Carr was 0-3 in 2 minutes of action. Vescovi was 1-3 plus 2 turnovers in 21 minutes. The team let off the gas in the second half and lost momentum. It wasn't all because of Carr. We missed FTs and got killed on the boards.
I’m not saying we have to win both, but if we do we should be right on the mix for the conference championship. A@M will be tough environment and they really pound the offensive glass. A little concerning the difference in the rebound totals tonight. We definitely loss our focus in the second half, but it’s hard to maintain the efficiency that we played with in the first half. Hopefully we can hound Taylor and wear him down. Looking forward to a night game in Aggie land. We gotta flex our muscle Saturday night. Go Vols!Great win, and Burn just smoked Bama. We’re right in the mix! These next two road games are big, need to win both.
Barnes tolerated DK going 1 on 5 during that 13-0 LSU run. Sometimes he has to take responsibility. Call a TO & change the offense.Wrong. Barnes made it clear to all of them that they can’t lay it all on Knecht. And the players all agreed after the SC game. Barnes told them to take their shot if it’s there. For some reason, Santi isn’t taking his tonight.
And he did, still he has to take his good looks and he has to work for his shot more. We need him shooting more than 2-3 shots in a entire game. We need him getting double figures, he is very capable of that. But he did play hard and make some good assist. He should have at least 3-4 shots tonight if he had been more aggressive in looking for his shot. Go Vols!He can contribute without scoring
