Those are two quality teams and great wins! We lost 2nite, but the 2nd half TN team played well.

We must extend leads and close games. My concern is this team gets tight when it’s a one possession game. It happened Vs Vandy and again tonight. ZZ air-balled the three and TN didn’t score a field goal in the final 3-4 min. Beating Bama and KY will get this team back on track, but that’s a tall order.

You can’t go 25 min with a guy who avg 3.5 per game. Phillips scores 33% more per minute played than Mashack and there’s very little drop off in defense.

I don't think they release that info (like JJJ's injury status/condition). I've gone on record to state that I personally think a first-round loss in the SEC tournament would be the best thing to happen to this team. The most valuable thing we could have right now is some rest and a few extra days to heal up before the NCAA. I loved last year's SEC tournament title run, but I have no doubt the energy expended to win it cost us against Michigan. Not to mention, it did nothing to improve our seeding.

As Moco pointed out in the recruiting forum:
Kentucky went 0-2 this week, by 15 at home to Arkansas and by 8 to Georgia.

Auburn is 1-4 in their last 5.

It makes me feel better, even if it doesn't help our team.

I think it's a hard one because of the parity of college basketball this year. It is incredibly difficult for a team to win on the road. Remember when Kansas lost 3 straight games and it was the end of the world for them? I'm thinking we have a similar bounce back against AL. KY and Auburn will both be fighting for their NCAA tournament lives when we play them on the road so I'm giving them the edge. We take one on the road from A&M and hold serve at home over USC and Arky.

The only 2 games I feel confident in calling are a Bama L and a USC W.

The other 4 could really go either way with the way we are playing right now.

I agree. I’m penciling in an “L” at Auburn based on the game here (payback and all).

BUT I had a “W” penciled in for Vandy and Mizzou. Anything could happen (and likely will). It wouldn’t surprise me to beat Bama and KY and lose to SC….

I agree as this team is mentally and physically fatigued, esp ZZ and Vescovi. Getting a bye and winning at least one in SEC tourney wouldn’t bother me as the committee may penalize us if we lost first round.

You are exactly correct about last yr. The SEC championship was fun but it’s about the dance. Michigan was a horrible matchup and the committee did us no favors with seeding.

Actually, I think we beat A&M and lose to Arky.

It's not the end of the world ... even if we fall all the way to a 10 seed (which I don't see happening). A good draw can always happen. You never know.

😆. Great teams lose in 🏀. Always have, always lose. I never will forget some of my losses as kid. We were more talented but the other team made everything and their was a lid on our goal. Or we would make a bonehead turnover, myself included.

The worse seed for NCAAT will be a four, imo. This team won’t fold. To be honest, I rather see us lose early in SECT to rest and heal. ZZ and Vescovi are exhausted. IDK if JJJ and Phillips miss extended time.
