The Official #6 Tennessee vs. Missouri Game Thread, 6:00 PM ET, SEC Network

Who should take his minutes? JJJ is the only other player on the roster who plays a similar position. Again we played better offensively without JJJ on the floor tonight.
And without Phillips. Who should get his minutes? Easy. Mashack. That’s the lineup that came back. Olivier and Phillips should be benched until they decide they want to play.

Situational basketball from your leader. Just make one. Awaka is 18. Vesco is a senior.
Ok, situational basketball: don't get in the damn lane before you're allowed to. Something you've known from YMCA level ball. You want to blame 1 physical mistake over a complete mental screw up?

I feel like with Phillips and his ability, you need to let him play, and grow as he plays. Sitting a talented freshmen usually never ends well, if you know what I mean.

Would you trust him in this scenario if happens in the tournament? Hats off to you, I wish my orange colored glasses were as thick as yours.

I don't mean to interrupt your small sample, knee-jerk reaction....

But anyone with sense would want Vescovi at the line in this situation.

While it was a painful loss, I think Barnes found a better lineup. Awaka has to be in the floor. He can’t make foul shots so that is a huge concern. ON shouldn’t see as many minutes. Uros should rarely be on the floor. I like Mashack being aggressive tonight during the second half. I’d like to see Phillips be on the floor, too, as he is our most athletic player.

Vescovi, Key, Awaka, ZZ, and Phillips. If JJJ returns then let ZZ come off the bench? If ZZ starts, then Key off the bench? Key has played well offensively past two games.
Yeah at this point I play for the future. If orn comes out hot starting a game then fine but I’m giving awaka 20+ down the stretch and let him start to get game reps. I can deal with the same mistakes from him that orn continues to make because at least he’s young. Orn is one of the more frustrating players we’ve had

He also made many clutch 3s today. He’s dealing with shoulder problems. And after the vandy loss, you know he took it hard. The amount of pressure he’s under at the line is more than anything you’ve faced in your life. I agree it’s disappointing, but he’s done a lot for us
He’s never played. He wouldn’t understand.

If we had fouled they would not have had the opportunity to shoot a three. Going to overtime is infinitely better than losing.
Barnes said he didnt want to go to OT because of how many minutes those guys played in the second half. He didnt think they had the legs for OT.

Off topic as I’m still ticked over the loss, but Zona is down 10 with 3.30 min left against a 10-14 Stanford

51st in the net rankings. Missouri has 3 Quad one wins with no Quad 2, 3, or 4 losses. Their 17-point win over #12 a few weeks back was their best win until tonight.

For comparison, Tennessee is 3rd in the net rankings and has 4 Quad 1 wins with 3 Quad 2 losses.
Must be exhausting trying to act like the smartest one in the room. We are not going to be a 3. All your stats be damned. I’m not even the smartest in my house and I know this

No offense, but that’s just dumb.

Actually I don’t care if if offends. That’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read here.
Okay, genius. Doing something that would have prevented a loss is dumb, but not doing it and losing is smart? I’ll go out on a limb and venture you’re not a CEO.

Literally no coach in the entire history of basketball would ever foul on purpose with a 2 point lead. You’re embarrassing yourself.

Lol. Yeah, I’d pick Vescovi over Awaka or Uros, but that’s it. If you’re talking normal in -game free throws, sure, but he’s shown his inability to ice a game not once, but twice... How much larger of a sample size do you need?
