The Official #7/#9 TENNESSEE (10-2) vs. #6/#8 Ohio State (10-2) Thread - Zone Edition - Ohio Stadium - Columbus, OH - December 21 @ 8:00 - ABC/ESPN

It’s a phrase used by people who don’t know what they’re looking at and can’t discuss the ins and outs of the game.

There no place for it here

I do have a partial disagreement with your take. We sat through enough Pruitt to realize that. The team was the worst P5 team in efficiency at beginning and end of halves from 2018-2020 and was top 10 in 2021....

That’s kinda the point. Coaching is judged over time and seasons. Too often a loss means “out coached “ when in reality the coach that lost could have done the better job while the dipsticks say he got out coached.
CJP was a bad coach that mostly lost. Any wins he stumbled into wasn’t a result of “out coaching” anyone.

I think he’s had to really simplify things for the learning curve and the seriously bad o line play.

He should be coach of the year for making the playoffs with this team
Very good points. If our lowest was what we saw Saturday then this team truly did overachieve for most of the season.

Don’t get me wrong this season was still a big success. Like someone posted on here 3-7 in 2020 and having to vacate those wins to the playoffs in four years and probably would’ve been in as well in 22 if they had the 12 team playoff then is I remarkable turnaround. I’m pretty happy overall.
