The Official #7 Tennessee @ #12 Georgia Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, ABC

Nah. We stopped numerous drives that were continued bc of phantom calls. Later on they would score. We don’t get those same calls. Numerous holds not called. Fumbles. Numerous PIs. Point is they controlled the game. We did enough, but the refs gave them their points by extending their drives

This. The refs gifted them the 14 points that they won by with phantom calls or no calls that extended drives. And I rarely say that the refs “cost” us a game. But c’mon.

We would destroy BYU ..why can't people realize the SEC is loaded and UGA has another gear when they want to
Then WIN THE DAMN SEC GAMES. it’s not the College Football SEC playoffs. Get over it. We don’t deserve to make it. Stop your whining. The Vols have beat expectations this year. They are NOT a playoff team

Head to head don't mean a thing when it's Bama. You know Bama is jumping UT Tuesday. That last TD makes it look like a blow out, that is all the committee will see. UT will drop big time. UF beat LSU that might help a little bit.
15 or so is what I expect

We can script a good quarter of offense and then…..
We punched them in the mouth but they were able to withstand it…they are a pretty good team.

But I’m proud of how hard our guys played. I don’t think we’ve been close to Georgia in the 4th quarter since Dobbs. Hopefully we regroup and finish 10-2.

Costly things tonight:

Not covering nor adjusting to TE’s
Refs gifted penalty drive to UGA
Thornton’s drop
No pressure from D-line
Bringing the ball out on the kickoff after they score AND getting a penalty

Where is Brazzel?
I know Thornton is banged up but was a no show

We just lack a play maker at WR
I'll take Door # 4 for a difference maker ...

At the end of the regular season, 6 teams will have 10 wins in the conference....did you forget we beat Bama and UF this year. Goodness gracious...the fact that you think BYU would stand a chance against us is hilarious

White Danny can scrap that first round playoff game seating chart in Neyland, get the big orange spin machine excited for the Las Vegas Bowl (Vanderbilt will go to the Liberty Bowl)(played in the Citrus Bowl last year)

Georgia, Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss will represent the conference well in the playoffs,

Wins over Oklahoma, Miss State, Kentucky, Florida and hopefully Vanderbilt just don't get it at this level, in retrospect, aside from Georgia and Alabama, we played a fairly soft SEC schedule and an even softer non conference schedule.

Hopefully, Heupel and White Danny see the glaring gaps in the program which, if not addressed, will result in a 10-2 record most years at best, moving to the next level in the SEC, will require SEC caliber coordinators and position coaches, talent is good, but not developing and improving, nor is the team improving throughout the year,
Good god 😂 ole miss played nobody but Georgia , Texas played nobody but Georgia , we beat bama. Our resume is just as good as ole miss , bama and better than 3 or 4 teams ahead of us.

Is this loss maddening? Absolutely, but I will take a "should be" 10-win Vol season every year. Remember Dooley, Lane, Bitch, and Pruitt? This program is light years ahead of that bastardized monstrosity. I still support Heupel. I wish he would make some changes on the coaching staff. Halzle, Elarbee, and Martinez all should find new employment next season. I am not throwing Banks in there, because I believe he will check himself out of UT.

He is without a doubt, but UGA has a great game plan and executed it. I'm honestly wondering what game film Banks was watching this week. And Heupel seems to be coaching scared, especially on the road.
Heupel learned to call a game from Oklahoma’s standing as a Big 12 darling. He doesn’t know what to make of the SEC’s cooking. He never had to overcome being an unwanted underdog.
