The Official #7 Tennessee @ #12 Georgia Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, ABC

At the end of the regular season, 6 teams will have 10 wins in the conference....did you forget we beat Bama and UF this year. Goodness gracious...the fact that you think BYU would stand a chance against us is hilarious
At BYU Id say BYU would give us a run. Team is completely different on the road. Arkansas beat them with smoke and mirrors

White Danny can scrap that first round playoff game seating chart in Neyland, get the big orange spin machine excited for the Las Vegas Bowl (Vanderbilt will go to the Liberty Bowl)(played in the Citrus Bowl last year)

Georgia, Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss will represent the conference well in the playoffs,

Wins over Oklahoma, Miss State, Kentucky, Florida and hopefully Vanderbilt just don't get it at this level, in retrospect, aside from Georgia and Alabama, we played a fairly soft SEC schedule and an even softer non conference schedule.

Hopefully, Heupel and White Danny see the glaring gaps in the program which, if not addressed, will result in a 10-2 record most years at best, moving to the next level in the SEC, will require SEC caliber coordinators and position coaches, talent is good, but not developing and improving, nor is the team improving throughout the year,
Next year’s schedule is more of the same. Syracuse is our bigger ooc game.

Quit blaming it on the refs. This is Heupel and Banks.
B#######-- biggest problem offensively is NICO and the receivers are not comfortable with each other. Nico waits till the person is open before throwing. Then the coverage is there quickly because the separation has closed. That is the reason we have very few YAC downfield. Remember Hooker? He was throwing in anticipation of the receiver coming open, thus a lot of YAC. Will be better next year with Nico having some seasoning. Defensively we still do not have that game smart linebacker to get everyone aligned and stop the mis-direction from putting us out of position. Before you say it is on the coaches not recruiting better-remember the hole they started in from the Pruitt fiasco.

So you want him to get rid of Garner... our D line did not pressure their qb as almost everyone on Vol Nation expected. Or did I miscount on our sack and even real hurries?

Is this loss maddening? Absolutely, but I will take a "should be" 10-win Vol season every year. Remember Dooley, Lane, Bitch, and Pruitt? This program is light years ahead of that bastardized monstrosity. I still support Heupel. I wish he would make some changes on the coaching staff. Halzle, Elarbee, and Martinez all should find new employment next season. I am not throwing Banks in there, because I believe he will check himself out of UT.
I remember Bitch. Fitting name for that guy. 😆

Kirby owns Heupel - 2022 he handed CJH’s rear to him . . . The high flying offense that year came to a grinding halt.

Talent is very even now. CJH offense tonight will score 17 . . . And not score in the second half,

Total domination.

We are closing ground, but NO ONE who thinks our 3 deep is close can be seriously taken. We have crept up and they have come back to the pack some this year, but we may never catch up till they screw up with their 4-5 to 1 in state 4-5 star player advantage as a recruiting base.

Tennessee is not the bottom of the barrel anymore but are not at the top either. If I had to guess, could see Nico playing the Manning role and shine just enough but once gone the next QB will reap the benefits and get that historic season.

They’ll give the nod to Ole Miss over us. We had our shot, but just couldn’t make enough big plays to keep ourselves in the game.
I agree. Clearly the phrase they remember what you did in November is very true here. The committee compare Ole beating UGA at HOME compared to Tennessee losing to UGA on ROAD. Is the difference. Meanwhile losing at Arkansas on ROAD is not near as bad as Ole Miss losing to Kentucky at HOME.
