Yesterday I would've made the same argument as @Andrew8210 but taking an L in lame fashion took something out of me convincing myself other teams aren't that good either.

Instead I will go with your argument. Good teams find a way to win.

The committee will drop us from 7- 12 on Tuesday night. UTEP game won’t help, nor will a Vandy win. I’m over the politics and Bama. We beat them yet folks say Bama should be ahead if TN. What’s the purpose of playing the game if the outcome doesn’t matter. And Kirk was ridiculous when he said a three loss UGA team should still
be considered for playoffs.

Vols are out of the playoff hunt not because of a loss to Georgia but because Heupel and Co laid an egg vs Arky.

The Vols are still very much in the hunt for the playoffs. Earlier they showed some sort of stat that said if Tennessee lost to UGA they'd still have a 45% chance of making the playoffs. So you might need a bit of help, but nothing crazy has to happen for the Vols to get in.

I didn't ask about Hyatt. Results from 3 years ago with nothing present do not help your cause in this argument. My question was about the past two years. Hyatt Tillman and Keyton and even Velus were all recruited by Pruitt

Sadly we don't deserve the playoffs. I will hope for it but time and time again we just look lost against competent teams.

With Heupel’s offensive staff and the lack of development in the oline, I just don’t see the Vols moving up to the next level.

Heupel won’t stand up against the officials and he will never get a call - Heupel has made generational wealth and he owes it to his team to call the officials out. He can certainly pay the fine - get a pair.

Based on what? TX got beat worse by UGA at home than we did on the road and their best win is over a 5-4 Vandy. Ole Miss lost to a 4 loss LSU team and a 5 loss UK team at home. Their best win is UGA, equivalent to our win vs Bama.

Yes being in the playoff should be the goal every year now and I think that we will be about 75% of the time. When I think of the hole we were in four years ago, I am happy to be where we are. I think maybe the playoff this year but definitely in the future with what we have coming on.

Good god ole miss played nobody but Georgia , Texas played nobody but Georgia , we beat bama. Our resume is just as good as ole miss , bama and better than 3 or 4 teams ahead of us.
