And who was the power house that came into Athens and beat them in 2019…..a NC contender? Nope. Maybe a Top 5 team? Nope. It was freaking unranked South Carolina. Vols have the ability to win…..just have to show up with the desire and walk away with hedge twigs in your helmet. Not to rain on the parade but Georgia hasn’t lost at home since 2019. Time for Heupel to take the next step and win vs Georgia.
My hope is we only drop 3-4 spots if it’s a close game. But I’m starting to think UGA beats the spread.Tbh, I’m done with setting myself up to expect good things for TN fb. The cfp committee pretty much told us exactly what they think with the rankings. We’ll be left out.

We need Ohio State to trounce Indiana and aTm demolish Texas, imo.
Notre Dame and Indiana are the thorns in our side as the committee loves them. Bama is Bama and the many in the media has recently crowned them the jewel of the SEC though LSU is down and TN beat them by a TD.
Go Vols!
Sorry but I’m gonna have to disagree even though you’re a respected rival poster. Georgia will not win convincingly no matter how your OL plays. There are elite athletes all over the field for both teams, this isn’t gonna be about “what Georgia didn’t do”. This UT defensive line has been giving people problems all year.Final thoughts from a rival. I think the play of the GA o-line will be the tale of this game. If they play well, GA wins convincingly. If not, the TN front 7 will wreak havoc and GA will struggle to score. I give us the edge being in Athens, but the TN defense has a chance to take the crowd out of the game if our line struggles. Going to be interesting and I think a 4 quarter game.
Also, of course I hope GA destroys TN, but I wish you Vols good fortune in the injury aspect of this game. May all of our players remain healthy. Also, I hope all of you attending the game are treated very well by our GA fans.
I didn’t mean it like it sounded. If our line struggles it could just be because of the TN defense playing very well. So I could have said that the TN front 7 will be the tale.Sorry but I’m gonna have to disagree even though you’re a respected rival poster. I doubt they beat the spread unless we just absolutely crap the bed, though we certainly showed we’re capable of that with the Arkansas gameMy hope is we only drop 3-4 spots if it’s a close game. But I’m starting to think UGA beats the spread.

This is gonna be a great slugfest. I have y’all winning by 7-10, I just don’t see anybody running away with this one.I didn’t mean it like it sounded. If our line struggles it could just be because of the TN defense playing very well. So I could have said that the TN front 7 will be the tale.
Also, I failed to mention another worry. If TN gets after Beck, how many turnovers will they cause? It’s a problem for us.
I agree. Like I said, I give the home team a little edge, but I think it will be a 7-10 point win for one of us.This is gonna be a great slugfest. I have y’all winning by 7-10, I just don’t see anybody running away with this one.

Oh I fully expect we should win. We’re the better team. Just pointing out even when you have the better team it’s not an easy place to playAnd who was the power house that came into Athens and beat them in 2019…..a NC contender? Nope. Maybe a Top 5 team? This is the biggest problem. It takes awhile to learn to pick up pressure as a RB. Our freshman are very talented but can they do this yet, do they know how to adjust to different blitzes and help on front four pressure?Hopefully both sides will avoid injuries. I'm thinking that this will be a low-scoring defensive battle from start to finish, with neither QB able to get settled in the pocket.
What are your thoughts on Georgia's depleted RB room? Not necessarily in terms of yardage/TD production, but moreso with regard to picking up pressure in the backfield?
