For all the talk about his passing, Milroe just made a terrific throw for a TD that gave them a lead. Something tells me he's not as inept throwing the ball as folks are claiming.

And he just threw an awful pick that resulted in a TX TD.

You very well might be right. As I stated earlier, when Huepel tries to run a different style of offense than normal, everything gets out of sync. We ran the normal pace and style twice tonight and scored in less than 90 seconds both times. Nothing in this game flowed like the offense we hae seen for the last two years and that includes the mop up duty that Milton had last year.

I hope we are right away. If not, we will struggle badly once we get to SEC teams. Our 3rd down plays were atrocious. I really hope JM was told not to audible out, because it was obvious what AP was doing defensively on sort yardage plays and we still ran straight into it.

It's still early in the season yet. Better to use a nonconference game like this to identify what needs adjustment than trying to do it in conference play. Hopefully the team will roll into Gainesville more prepared and ready than they were today.

I believe on some of those plays, Milton really wanted to pull the ball and take off. With the numerous cheap shots AP was taking, I think he was instructed to get out of the way and stay upright.

Just heard John Adam’s say that this was the worst performance of the Vols during Heupel’s tenure. Unfortunately I have to agree.

This team isn’t going to win many games this season with Milton as QB.

Hooker improved big post Pitt game. Milton isn’t on his level but Milton also had a great game vs Clem’s son. I will be very surprised if we see this poor of an effort by him and the team for the rest of the year.

3. Bama/11 TX-only bc they lost but they’re playing at a higher level than us right now and would beat UT
4. FSU dominating a better opponent after winning a huge game last week
5. OSU-push with UT
6. USC-TBD as hasn’t kicked off
7. Pedo St-crushed their opponent
8. Washington-beat better opponent
9. Woof!
10. ND-crushed a power 5 team
11. Texas-great win
12. Utah-won vs power 5 on the road
13. Oregon-worse than UT
14. LSU-won big vs garbage team
15. Kansas St-blew out a better team

So that’s 2 worse, 2 even, ten better
