Has history not taught you anything?

The season is just beginning...the Sox have dug themselves a hole for sure but we are one good series away and a bad series by the Yanks or Rays from being right back in it.

We have a stellar staff, Beckett/Lester/Lackey will keep us in contention...offense is a different story.

We need Jacoby back, you can't replace what he gives on a nightly basis.

I think that Tito will give Ortiz a few more weeks, perhaps the end of the month to get it going or he will be sitting.

By the end of the year, we may not be in it for the division, but we will fight for the wild card.

If this team gets in, we will be tough...three man rotation with the above mentioned will be tough to beat.

Way too early to give up.

He likes the attention, I won't deny that it's very obvious.

I used to think that he was such an ass, then I heard on a telecast that he makes the call vocally on time, then he signals late.

This is what Sutcliff ( sp ) said, being a former pitcher, I will take his word.

Playing pretty good ball right now, pretty tough stretch coming up with our series against Detroit/Yankees/Minnesota/Phillies.

Lets win all these series.

IF we win all those series, I'll admit I started panicing waayyy to soon. We are playing some good baseball right now, we've won 15 of our last 23. It's May & Ortiz bat has started to heat up some. Heres some offensive #'s that suprised me.

Home runs: 2nd
Doubles: 3rd
Total bases: 2nd
OPB: 5th
Slugging: 2nd
OPS: 2nd

And that's with Jacoby Ellsbury and Mike Cameron barely playing.

Also having Drew and Ortiz hitting, can't expect that to continue at the pace that they have been at lately...just have to take advantage when guys start heating up like that, so far they are.

This one could get ugly early...Dice-K looks shaky and Hughes looked good...at least Drew made him work in the 1st.

Ok, so this one is going to get ugly early...Dice-K has very good stuff but can't throw it over the plate.
