The Official Boston Red Sox Thread

It's ok guys, Cleveland is a terrible place to start the season. Those fans are too raucous for the away team.

With Daisuke pitching I can take a crap, run out for a quick trip to the grocery store, and be back on the couch before the Sox next AB.

Reyes: 12 pitches, 1 strike, hits 2 batters, 1 walk on a guy trying to bunt.

Nice job, you blowfish.

This is laughable. I'm glad that I dont take sports nearly as seriously as I used to.

Puzzled as to how many other excuses Orsillo will come up with for Tek on that play, just a case of his head not being there and it screwed everyone up.

It happens.

Red Sox are the 85th team to ever start 0-5. Of the previous 84, only 2 teams have went on to make the playoffs.

I would say I'd be somewhat surprised if Reyes makes it back to Boston, but there really isn't a lot on the 40 to bring another lefty in, assuming they want Okie to get things figured out (if he can) at Pawtucket.

Doubront is getting close, but he'll be starting off in Pawtucket to make up for his lost spring time, and that leaves Miller, Rich Hill, and Randy Williams, all who, like Reyes, are out of options.

Hill and (especially) Miller have the makings of more useful arms than a garden variety LHP out of the pen, so that leaves Williams, who is likely no better or worse than Reyes.

Not sure if designating Reyes to bring in another can kicker is a great move.

Lester looking alot better than he did at Texas so far, Ellsbury was safe on that play to 2nd. Really want to see this team pick up a W before coming back to Boston.

Nice seeing him a little more aggressive, hope it carries on through the rotation, everybody was picking at edges like Dice K, not a recipe for success.

The 2011 Red Sox: We won't rest until we've lost a baseball game every possible way

They are actually having a debate on boston.com about if this is the most overrated team in MLB history, :eek:lol: it's only 6 games into the season!

Losing to Texas is one thing, getting beat by Cleveland is pathetic.

I watched yesterdays game and I know of only 5 players in their lineup...they are going to be awul, yet they have beat us twice...sad.
