The Official Boston Red Sox Thread

I halfway expect Theo to report an "injury" today for Daisuke and give him a few weeks off.

Dice-K was throwing meatballs right down the middle, goes to show no matter how bad the lineup ( and Tampa is that bad ), you can't just throw it and see what happens.

His tenure is coming to an end.

If the next start is typical Daisuke, I think they'll eat the 2 years and $20 million

Not sure if anyone saw the E:60 on Ryan Westmoreland, but it was a great piece and an amazing story.

I hope Ryan can come back, he was a fan favorite waiting to happen, Trot Nixon with Talent

It's probably a little to early for the tired arm excuse so I will put 5 on sore back.

It's that or just shrugging off $20 Million over the next 2 years and Designating him. Rich Hill and Brandon Duckworth are both hanging out in Pawtucket but are both out of options, so calling them up would mean they stay are have to pass through Waivers, which neither will.

An outright release is the only escape unless they can DL him, but both he and tito said there was nothing wrong postgame. He is a Boras client with a full No-Trade, Henry has to write him a $20m check to get him out of town.

The reds went through the same thing when they decided it was a good idea to give Eric Milton 8.5 million a year.

I don't have to suffer from the abysmal performance of John Slackey.

My night already got a lot better.

They are an awful team, by seasons end they will have the record to prove it.

Their lineup is pathetic and their bullpen is on par with their lineup.

Kyle Farnsworth is their closer, he has 28 career saves.

They will be a high 60's/low 70's win team.

So one of the worst in baseball? bottom 3-5 ish?

The Red Sox wish they had a 1-5 of starters like the Rays.

I'd be less worried about the Rays and more worried about the awful starts by Lackey, Dice-K, and Buchholz...

Thank you. And talent just waiting in the minors, and in this year's draft.

OBP>Speed. Anyone who can get on until one of the "prototypical" leadoff guys gets ot going.

Crawford would be better served @ 5 anyway imo, once things get settled.
