I'm probably the only one up still watching this game..but Jacoby Ellsbury is clutch. Down to our last strike and he drives in Crawford to tie it at 3. Hope we can win it in extras.

Judging by the crowd left in the stands, you were the only one watching.

After the 4-0 win against the Twins today the Sox are now 15-18, 4 games back of the division lead.

Buchholz could only go 5IP today b/c of the rain delay, he looked good during those 5. Jacoby was able to extend his hitting streak to 16 games, he is really looking good so far this season. It was good to see our bullpen close out the game today after Jenks & Wheeler went on the DL & we called up Hill & Atchison.

Crawford had started to heat up some once the calendar flipped to May, Gonzalez has gotten it going a little also. This offense still has more to go before it reaches its potential. Dice-K will get the start tomorrow after having to come in for relief on Wed night.

Scutaro hurt his ribs today, looks like he will be going on the DL. Looking like the Sox are going to call up the 21 yr old Jose Iglesias, scouts have raved about his defensive ability but lacks on the offensive side. He was hitting .253 w/ an .273OBP in AAA Pawtucket. I'm very excited to see this kid play, heard numerous people say he is the SS of the future for the Sox.

They are an awful team, by seasons end they will have the record to prove it.

Their lineup is pathetic and their bullpen is on par with their lineup.

Kyle Farnsworth is their closer, he has 28 career saves.

They will be a high 60's/low 70's win team.

Oh, hai guys...

Sox beat the Twins 9-5 today to improve to 16-18.

Dice-K went 6IP 5H 4R 4ER 2BB 4SO, he improved to 3-3 (4.64ERA)

Ellsbury went 3-5 extending his hitting streak to 17 games.

A. Gonzalez was also 3-5 w/ 1HR

Red Sox have a night game on ESPN tomorrow, last game of this homestand.

Beckett (2-1, 2.35ERA) vs. Blackburn (2-4, 4.41ERA)

They leave out for a 5 game road trip after tomorrows game, 2 against the Blue Jays (Tue. & Wed), 3 against the Yankees (Fri., Sat., Sun.,) then they come back home for 7 games.

Round of applause for JMoore. His fandom has survived the harsh month of April.

After week one, we thought he was a goner but he's still here, fighting the good fight.

I have a bad problem of overreacting to things, I do it w/ all my sports teams.

Even though I hadnt been posting in the thread, I' watched almost every inning of each game in April

He also watched Fever Pitch without fast forwarding through any of it this week. He is back on the true fan wagon.

Ummmmmmmmmm, yea...........

Kind of suprised Iglesias is up rather than Yamaico, assuming Jed will start every night.

Sox won 2-1 tonight in extras, Crawford hit a rbi walk-off single. Iglesias was in to punch run & scored the winning run. Okajima picked up the win, he pitched a career high 43 pitches over 2IP.

Ellsbury extended his hitting streak to 18 games (1-5).

Beckett should have picked up the win if Aceves hadnt blown the lead in the 8th. Beckett 7IP 6H 1BB 5SO, his ERA is 1.99

Since the Sox have Thursday off & they have a 3 game series w/ the Yankees this weekend expect the rotation to changeup, look for Buchholz, Lester, Beckett to get the starts.

Sox lost last night in extras 7-6, they continue to start to get hot then slip up.

Lester looked awful in the 1st inning, the offense gave him the lead back & then he gave up a HR.

Ellsbury extended his hitting streak to 19 games last night, Crawford has a 10 game hitting streak going also.

Gonzalez was 3-6 w/ 2HR's last night, he is def starting to feel comfortable in this lineup. Ortiz also homered, so much for another slow start.

Ryan Kalish played catch yesterday, first time he has done anything since his shoulder injury on April 21st. The team wants to have the surgery after the season so they can try & get him back.

We are getting no production from behind the plate & on top of that we still cant throw out base runners. Vartike has caught 15 of the 36 games, there is no way he can continue this pace. Theo needs to find a catcher b/c Salty isnt the answer IMO.

The young star Jose Iglesias will get the start tonight in Toronto, Lowrie is sick. Francona said their is a sickness going around the dugout.

Might have been a little pre-mature on my part, might be pre-mature on yours. We will see, it's a long season.

You were shouting that they were easily, without doubt one of the worst teams in baseball. I didn't bother to reply to the above quoted post then, and won't now, as it is a long year. But yeah, we shall see.
