The Official Boston Red Sox Thread

He's worthy of the avatar, sir.

Second best leadoff hitter/spark plug in baseball right now.

Even with bias, jose reyes still exists

I wonder how Reyes will fare next year when he's got his payday. He has a suddenly forgotten track record of taking plays off and going through the motions.

Not arguing your point at the time being.

I can't wait till the Giants pay 7/120M for him, and then he goes back to 2009-2010 Jose Reyes. I'm not going to call him trash, but anybody that doesn't realize he's playing like this is because he wants that big pay day.

He'll go back to a .290/.340/.440 stat line, get 40 SB's while getting caught 10 times, play above average defense, takes plays off, and be a pain to the organization.

It's crazy to me how athletes do that.

During a contract year they go off and have the best year of their careers.

If you can put up numbers like that every year, why not do it and try to be one of the best to ever play the game?

What I love the most is like... 2 years into a 6 year deal, they all the sudden are like "i need to be in the best shape of my life next season."

Uh, yeah man, you're getting paid 12 mil a year... now's the time...

Because us (the fans) don't have the comforts of that money.

Arrived in Boston early this morning! Going to the Sox game tomorrow afternoon, Beckett vs Hochevar!

Ellsbury & Pedroia just hit back to back HRs, Pedey is killing the ball right now.

His average over the span of this hitting streak has to be ridiculous.

Check out these stats...

Over the last 30 games Dusitn's stat line goes.

.394 avg, 8 hr, 19 rbi, 5 sb and rs 26.

Jacoby's stat line over the same time.

,390, 8 hr, 21 rbi, 4 sb, and 23 rs.

That is insane production from the 1 and 2 spots.

I'm going to guess that Clay is done.

Gah, how impressive is Hack Wilson's record, that Adrian doesn't have a f'ing chance of catching it despite the season and lineup

Never be broke.

Remember when Juan Gonzalez had 100 RBI at the all-star break? I thought he had a chance, didn't come close.
