Any with any seating input or advice? Anyone I can ask questions to?
Maybe Middlebrooks is turning himself into enough of a prospect for the Sox to package him for King Felix
Middlebrooks, Buchholz and someone like Brentz/Kalish (+ a couple lesser prospects) for King Felix would you do it??
Awesome man, that will be a good time! My girl got opening day tickets this year and they said obstructed view on them. We were in the 4th row of the 3b side grandstand, sec 29, thought there would be no way it would be an issue. Wrong, that pole was legit 3 feet directly in front of us, had no view of 2b at all haha It really isn't a huge deal tho, well worth it just to be in the park, but if its a matter of a few bucks, definitely go for the non obstructed view. I'll try to put up a pic if I can shrink the file.
Here's a link to a funny picture showing the obstructed view pole...***DISCLAIMER***...this picture in no way represents my opening day experience, or, and most importantly, NOT MY GIRL!!! haha

Id still rather not have a pole in my vagina.
- Boston.comWhat's not to like about Will Middlebrooks?
He's hitting .371/.413/.757 in 18 games for Triple A Pawtucket with eight home runs and 25 RBIs. He's 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, and plays an excellent third base.
Heck, he's even engaged to a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and one of his best friends is Patriots backup quarterback Ryan Mallett. At 23, Middlebrooks seems to have everything going his way.
So when does he get to the big leagues?
Not so fast.
Kevin Youkilis is not a player you dismiss with a wave of the hand because a 23-year-old has had a great few weeks. This is a career .288 hitter with an .878 OPS who has played hard every minute he has been in a Red Sox uniform. If after nine years in the majors Middlebrooks has those numbers and that reputation, he will have done quite well for himself.
The rash would say, "Trade him!" OK, to whom and for what? Youkilis has $10.88 million remaining on his deal for 2012 and a $1 million buyout for 2013. There is literally not a team out there that will take on $11.88 million.
Beyond that, he is 33 and off to a .174/.250/.283 start. Trading him now would be at pretty much the low point of his value. The Sox would not get much back and would have to chow down on a lot of that money.
It's nice to think some team out there will take Youkilis and give you back a power arm to fix the bullpen. But that's unlikely.
There is no moving Youkilis to DH, not with David Ortiz around. The outfield? He tried that a few times (not since 2009) and the results weren't pretty.
Shifting Middlebrooks to the outfield seems to make little sense, especially if the plan is to make him the full-time third baseman in 2013.
Splitting time at third base seems like a waste. They're both righthanded hitters and why have the kid give up at-bats at this stage of his career?
History says Youkilis will hit his marks and produce. If he's not a month from now, Middlebrooks will really have a compelling case.
But for now, have patience. Ryan Howard spent a few years destroying the International League because the Phillies had Jim Thome around. Youkilis spent a lot of time at Pawtucket in 2005 because the Sox liked what they had in Bill Mueller.
These things sort themselves out, they always do.
I went to 2 games last July, one was a day game where I sat down the 3B line behind the visitors dugout about 25 rows up. Those were pretty decent seasts. The other game I went to was a night game out in the CF bleacher area (the cheap tickets & where the rowdy fans sit), those were pretty decent also.
Thanks.. That's what I'm thinking. Get some pretty get seats one game then OF one game then ?? .. Be able to take in the whole ball park (views, angles, crowd sections/rowdiness)
Just wanna make sure the "pretty good" seats I get are actually pretty good ha..and make sure there's no where to avoid

You'll enjoy it Tbrown..was an awesome experience.
Skipped my senior trip to go to Boston with my dad and watch a series against Detroit. Was seriously one of the best times of my life.
Nothing like a little father/son bonding time watching some baseball at the most storied ballpark in history. We got to sit 3 rows behind the sox bench one game, then next day sat one section over down the 1st base line and got to watch papi hit a walk off 2B to win the game.
Ended up getting to take another trip back to Boston later on that summer with my dad and girlfriend. Needless to say, she's hooked and is a sox fan for life now.
I trained her well

Me & my GF have been together about 5 months now, I tried telling her that once the baseball season started she will hate me b/c all I do is watch the Sox games. I think she is starting to figure it out now. Lol.
She doesn't understand baseball so I've gotten her to watch a few games w/ me & I've tried explaining it to her, I don't think it's working. Lol. We are planning on trying to make a trip up there the first weekend of August.
Here are some shots I was able to take from opening day this year...

Dear god Ortiz just hit a ball so far.
Just hit a year with my girl, luckily she grew up in a family that rooted for the Mets (well, better them then the yankees) so she is actually a big Bobby V fan, might by the only one left at the moment!
You should watch the movie Fever Pitch with her haha not my favorite all time movie, but it helps get the point across
GREAT pics Iona, looks like you sat close to the area I did last July, I sat more under the over hang though.
My dream had always been to go to Fenway & man when I went last summer it was AMAZING. One of the best experiences of my life. I can't wait to get back.
If I'm able to make it up in August we should try to meet up for a game.
