The Official Boston Red Sox Thread

This is what makes me mad about this team, after getting embarrassed at home they go out on the road & win 6 out of 7. They come back to Fenway to face one of the worst offenses in baseball & they only win 1 game. These are the types of teams you need to take advantage of to stay intone playoff race.

But at least Middlebrooks looked good in his major league debut.

Maybe they got caught looking ahead to the Bmore series, payback will be dished out this weekend, book it. Once AGon starts heating up, Petey still has to get cracking too. Hopefully they start getting some warm weather, its depressing playing in 40 degrees and rain in April in May, I know it is for me at least!

Middlebrooks in the 2 hole tonight, Bobby thinking outside the box apparently

Middlebrooks 3B
Gonzalez 1B
Pedroia 2B

I was excited when I saw this lineup w/ Middlebrooks at the 2 & Pedroia at the 4.

Going to have the C's game on the TV & Sox game on the laptop. :)

Need a good outing from Lester tonight.

I'm excited about middlebrooks too..when jacoby comes back and if/when Crawford does that lineup is still the best in the league.

I love it, so does Pedroia haha check these numbers out...

In 31 career appearances in the No. 4 spot, he's a .397 hitter with seven home runs and 28 RBIs.

Such a complete team with everyone healthy. Great defensively and it let's you strengthen your bench with either Ross, Sweeney, Crawford not starting, plus a guy like Punto off the bench. I really think they actually did a great job this year building the offense/defense, can't plan for the injuries unfortunately.

@brianmacp: A neck issue pushed Matsuzaka back. He threw a bullpen today. Monday is still tentative. He's probably looking at two more rehab starts.

I just don't know what to say about this team anymore, they could end up being out of the playoff race by mid-May. I keep telling myself I'm not going to watch anymore cause this is pathetic but I always end up w/ the game on somehow.

I just don't understand how the organization/team got like this. Last August we were the best team in baseball, World Series contenders. Now we suck really bad.

Cook has a big nasty gash over his left knee after getting spiked covering home on a passed ball, stays in the game.

In other news, Sox are losing again & continue to be pathetic w/ RISP. Only 4 more months to football season SMH.
