I don't get why so many are climbing on to defend Youkilis, that guy was hated in the clubhouse by just about everyone. I'm glad to have him and his horse of a wife out of town.

Middlebrooks to the 15 day DL with a fractured wrist. This has to be some kind of record of players going to the DL in one year. Ever single position player except AGon and salty, right?

This team is just hard to cheer for right now, it's bad. I've been keeping up w/ the final scores ect.. but I quit watching the game finally.

Makes no sense, it seems to be pretty clear to everyone except the owners they had no chance. They have numerous pieces that could have brought back something. Salary relief at the very least, addition by subtraction. (I'm looking at you Beckett and Lackey)

Good ole Pesky, next to Ted Williams my grandfather's favorite player.. (He has been a Sox fan for 66 years and even once caught a Ted Williams HR ball) He was just telling me about Pesky a few months ago. Sad day. Pesky still made it to the ballpark from time to time. The only ball player to have a foul pole named after him.

Bobby V should quit. Sad as it is, he won't win a feud against Tito's lap dog, and Jesus must have told the first baseman that being a snitch was in his plans.

It all falls on Henry and Lucchino for not firing the pill popper and hiring Kerrigan after 2010, when they had more or less decided that Terry was probably at the end of his tenure anyhow.

Just like '96, players wanting to be coddled scuttle a season.

Bob McClure has been fired as pitching coach, Randy Niemann will take over for the rest of the season.

Crawford is being shut down for the rest of the season, he is having Tommy John surgery.
